As u all know i am a doting grandmother or bobo as my grandson calls me. Yesterday he played his first basketball game & scored 10 points. I was sooooo proud of him along w/hid dad, his mom didn't get to go because she had to work. He had missed the first games because he had his tonsils out so i think he surprised his dad & himself. Of course i knew he would do good, lol. We came home & my son turned on the Tennessee boys basketball game & it to was a great game, went into on & Tennessee won, yea!!!! Last night i watched peyton manning & the colts & the colts won to yea!!so i had a great sat. sports wise. How about y'all, do u like to watch sports?

Thanks for your response, Zandi. As long as his bobo can get there he will have my support 100%+. I have never understood parents & grandparents not supporting their kids in whatever they were doing.

He is quite the talented little man isn't he? It's good that he is so interested in sports. Yes mam we do watch those sports around here. I was really pleased with those Vol guys even in the face of their recent tests as a team. How about that bench crew? lol..As far as the Colts..we like them too..hehe..I'm thinking they may be the super bowl champs this year.

Ryan has been brainwashed from day 1 about sports. He came home in a vols outfit from the hospital, lol. I'm glad he does so well w/it.The reason i like the colts is on account of peyton. i hope they they do win the super bowl. Whatcha" think about the new football coach.Kiffen's lucky he got out of tennessee alive, lol the sorry thing.

Kiffen was a cowardly jerk among other names i can think of. I hope dooley does a great job. I was impressed w/him to.

LOL..your right about that. There were college kids everywhere mad as hornets burning their mattresses and just waiting on him to come out where they could get to him. I think that the new guy showed a lot of class during his press conference. He was a lot more humble than that Kiffen was. I hope he brings alot to the program just to show that we don't need the Kiffen jerk.

Wow, basketball grandmother! That is nice! I love basketball too. It is a very exciting game. That is the most popular game here and I love watching it. I love seeing my son and my husband playing together and doing a good team up. And so your beloved grandson is now playing this game too! I understand the thrill it gives you and for sure more thrills you will experience as you keep watching each game and every time you see your beloved shooting that ball successfully! Keep enjoying each game friend!

Thanks for your sweet response. I have always loved basketball but neither one of my sons played much just in junior high. I think ryan is going to like it all right now but will probably have a fave when he gets older. I also love the fact that he wants me at his games, that makes me feel real good.

Don't watch sports on TV, but would watch grandchildren play if they lived here. All 5 live in another town, 3 of them in another state.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah, Anti, isn't it wonderful to be able to enjoy the grands and their accomplishments. I have grands too and they participate in sports in Junior High. They will be going to the high school next year. I do and will continue to support them in their games. You are a great grandma and supporter. I really don't care for sports on the telly just the ones my boys are participating in.
Keep on cheering for the boys Anti.

Hi Aunty, I must confess the only sport I've ever enjoyed watching was the fake wrestling from America we used to get on TV, where two enormous men kept throwing each other on the floor.
Hugo plays basketball too, it's a big thing out here. The son of one of my friends does something in the US professionally with basket ball, I think he's a trainer, tallest person I've ever seen.
Glad to hear that Ryan did well and is happy to be parted from his tonsils.

I don't like sports but I love seeing my grandchildren doing sports. I only get to see them play sporadically when I'm visiting them. None of my grandchildren live in the same city as I do and all but two live in other states. I enjoy doing photography and scrapbooking so I've done lots of sports pages of my grandkids.

I am not particularly a sports fan, unless it would be a friend or family person playing. I would be there if I had a grand playing within driving distance. I loved basketball when I was at college, and I could probably get involved with that again, but it would not be anyone famous. I am so glad your grandson did well, and you got to be there.

I just read your response to one of my posts about your grandson. That's pretty darn terrific! And that must have been so fun for him. Especially because you got to see it in person. And I'm pretty happy that the Colts won. I hope they get to the Super Bowl. I'm currently watching the Vikings play the Cowboys.

He is cetainly showing a great deal of talent with sports. First forball and now basketball. What a talented little boy. We don't have basketbsll out here but a lot of volley ball is played and two of my son's were good players. One of them still plays football and the other plays tennis. I didn't watch any sport yesterday as I was spending the last few hours with ryan before he returned to the U.K. He and Jo meet up today and Jo will stay in the U.K. until Tuesday and then Jo will return to J.A.
We actaully have some sun now so I am washing like crazy so as I do not have to use the dryer! The government have put a 15% tax on electricity so things are going to be harder

Thanks Cynthi, I am glad he likes sports. Both the boys played sports & i think it helps keep them on a good track. I know u hated to see ryan leave, that is sooo hard, i remember. Glad he & jo are going to get to spend some time together. That will be good for both of them.
i use to hang my clothes out all the time till it got too hard for me to pack the clothes down the steps to my back yard. Steps are not my best friend. The goverment doesn't let up on us much, does it. Thanks for responding.

I did miss one of his soccer games because i felt so bad. Mornings are not usually real good for me but don't intend to miss anymore if i can help it. Thanks for responding.
