goodday007, It will depend if there will be another swimmer who is training in the same discipline and be successful with it. People will just catch on and adopt the current training techniques to excel in the competitions, with a possibility of even exceeding Phelps. Just watch the timings in the coming competitions leading to the Olympics. However, if I may add here, I feel that there may be emergence from both South America and Eastern Europe. I am sure you are aware that there are already swimmers from these regions that are already on the honor's roll and overtaken certain disciplines which all along have been dominated by the big swimming nations namely USA. At the moment, it is too early to tell but if there's anything to discount it would be the last Olympics as the results are not really representative. Especially, since it was a meet of plastics. Just be on a lookout, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

On last olympics............... i dnt think phelps wore those controversial swimsuits .............. it were mainly those Australian swimmers........... But yeh i may be possible but remotely.......... coz its not just training.......... to be the best u need to have something extra ............ hope there is some1 after Phelps who has that extra.................

I am sorry, but Phelps did wear the suit during the Olympics. He is actually the spokesman for Speedo's shark skin technology suit and it was at the Roma 2009 World Meet where he swam some on a few events without the suit to prove the point.
