Why did jackass go off the air?

The show went off air because many of the cast members were tired of doing it-plain and simple. The rumors of a kid dying while attempting a stunt are just that; rumors. Even if they were true, the fault would lie with the parents for letting their child watch the show, rather than with the cast members for creating the show. Think about it. Would you want to do a show where your physical and mental health are constantly put at risk? This is why they opted to end the show in favor of the movies. They can still do it occasionally, while simultaneously keeping themselves out of harm's way for a great deal of the time they would normally spend working on the show.

I'm not sure exactly why it went off the air. I didn't hear about the kid dying. i know there were a lot of kids that tried the stunts though and that is why they put the warning on it not to try it at home. I'm guessing that is probably why it got canceled because kids are listening to the warning. it was a great show. i liked the movies too. i've never heard my husband laugh like he does when he watches that show.

I loved that show! I've watched all the movies to. I never get enough of that kind of stuff. They are all so rich now they probably just dont want to keep doing things like that practically killing themselves for our entertainment. I doubt its true about the 13 year old kid dying trying to do a stunt being the reason they stopped doing the show. If that was the case they probably wouldnt have made the latest jackass movie. Some kid might have gotten killed doing a stunt but thats not their fault.

it was great ;some of the stuff was disgustingly funny.i also heard that,but kids do pranks so I wouldn't blame the programme.
