Why do we always have to help other countries/nations?

I know that I am going to get slammed for this, but why do we, as a nation, send billions of dollars to foreign countries and underdeveloped nations when America is falling apart? I read on another discussion someone was upset that G W Bush was representing the relief effort after he failed the American people during Katrina. This is what I am talking about, we can't take care of our own. Take a ride in the country sometime. Look at all the abandoned, run down farms. Farms that have been handed down through generations are literally going down the drain. The price that they get for their milk doesn't come close to covering their supplies. Do you think that YOU could survive on 1970's salaries/wages? The American farmer is the back bone of this country, IMHO. They feed us 3 times a day. What are we going to do when there are none left? So lets send our resources overseas, bail out banks, insurance companies, and the automobile industry(don't get me going on this one)...I'm sure they'll all keep us fat, dumb and happy. GOT MILK?

Well, I don't know why it should be a problem with you or with many other people. We are in the same world. And I remember that one old man told me that don't hesitate to spare your power. Once you can help others that means you're powerful and you have the ability to help others.

How else can America qualify to be called the 'Big Brother'? You must have also heard of the Dubai extravaganza. To remain on top and to show to the world that "I am the greatest" one resorts to these kind of things. This is what I think IMHO!
