Did You Or Will You Donate Any Points To Red Cross To Help Haiti?

I got a notification in my e-mail that I can donate points to the American Red Cross (I'm Canadian, but who cares?), to help the victims of the Earth Quake in Haiti. I donated 1,000 points. I figured that they needed the points a bit more thhan I needed an Amazoon gift card. I'll get another one eventually, and I'm getting all kinds of 'em from Swagbucks anyway, so why not?
Did you donate points to Haiti?
If not, do you think you'll donate a few?
You don't have to donate 1,000, you can donate 500 if you want, or 5,000. There are all kinds of amounts. You probably got a notification in your e-mail, if you get the bonus messages.

I wish to help in what ever way I can. The people of Haiti are in dire need of help from the international community and we should pull our resources to help them. We have the red cross society here doing the donation drive for the Haiti people.

I'm glad to hear it. I really love the internetm because those of us who don't have a lot of money, can donate without actually giving money, but the people of Haiti will still get the money. I am donating points that I would have used for non-essentials, since I am on a low income. I know, not as low an income as they are, but in the case of points-based social networking, we can have it both ways.

I would if I could but I'm finacially strapped with caring for my parents and my own household bills. All I can do is wish them all the best and for God to heal their broken hearts and the strength to carry on.

Like I said before, if I could, I would. I cannot help right now. I'm strapped to the bone with all I can handle at the moment.

That's wonderful. They also took up a collection at the Army Navy club where we were partying on Saturday night.

I donated £1 from my PayPal account, (not much I know), however I also donated more from my Charity Card Account. It would be a nice gesture if all Mylot members donated £1 or $1 from their Mylot or PayPal accounts, that could mean over $200,000 from Mylot members alone.
Together we can help make a better world.

Oh, YEAH! I was so excited when I heard about this. I've actually made close to $100 cash with SwagBucks and was about to cash out again when I got the message I could donate my 'Bucks. It's like it can't get any easier for us to help out. Even texting to the Red Cross itself was so easy. I'm glad SwagBucks did this. I wonder how many they have collected. Are they posting that?

Yes, I'm planing on donating money to help the victims of the earthquake in
Haiti. Every little bit of money can become a big amount since those people
really need our help. I just hope that the money reaches those people in need
,and I hope that they can reconstruct Haiti as soon as possible.

I already donated to the Red Cross last week. I am very sceptical about donating to any other organizations as most of them take 99% of your donation for overhead or some other self-serving reason.

I didn't know about that; but there is a young man in my church from Haiti and we are doing what we can to help him get down there as well, but just haven't been to work due to my client getting sick; But I believe he's going to have something to look forward to.

That is so nice of you to donate your points to the red cross. Sadly I am not able to donate anything. That is because I dont have a lot of money right now. The economy here is very bad and my husband is making the only income since I dont work. I think that it is great that you did that and I am sure that the people in haiti will appreciate it.

I may or I might just send some money instead. It takes a while to build up points so I will probably just send some cash to help out. But I think donating points is a good way for those who want to help but don't have the money can help out. That is a very good thing that mypoints is doing. Mypoints has always been awesome.

Someone sent me an email from a military guy saying how bad things are in Haiti, that they pulled security forces from the rubble. Instead of using them to help rescuers look for survivors, they pulled them to help famous people fly in. Instead of flying in food and water and supplies, they flew in celebs for the media. Instead of giving the rescuers much needed food and water, they stockpiled it for their people. So Rush Limbaugh and others are saying not to help Haiti. What do ya think?

I donated 500 points from MyPoints!I'm currently doing some research about which online sites are allowing members to donate points, tokens, etc. to the Haiti relief effort. I will be contacting Pogo.com, where I spend entirely too much time playing games with this information, to see if they can set up a similar donation program. I've got over 5,000,000 tokens there and would love to see some of them go to a good use!

I donated 500 points!
I've been laid off from my job since September, so can't spare the $$. I'm glad I was able to help in some way!
I am currently doing some research and will be contacting Pogo.com (an online games site) to see if they have a way to donate the tokens won in their games to the relief effort in Haiti.
