There are plenty of antivirus available online. Most of the time we used to download free antivirus for cleaning our systems. Is it worth of using Free antivirus or Using licensed antivirus. Most of the licensed antivirus are costly as far as i am concerned. Which i can choose?

Hi friend. Having an updated antivirus is the most important. However, if you want to try or buy one with more features, you can try many antivirus comparison sites. Or you can use my experience in this field without wasting your time. I was using ESET NOD32 for along time. But currently I suggest Kaspersky Internet Security which I'm using. There are several other good AVs out there which you can find on comparison websites www.av-comparatives.org is one of them. Happy Mylotting!

I am currently using the Kaspersky Internet Security which i got recently (not my owm) but from my concern, sometimes it shows that the antivirus software is corrupted, then after sometime, it again updates the whole software from scratch, is it really worth software, because i have to use Kaspersky still for 6-8 months. give me some details

Ok, so it may not make a problem downloading the latest version from internet (kaspersky website) if you have already the license for the last version. Better to try to see if there is a problem in the installation files located on the CD you got this way.

The kaspersky version that i got was from a local vendor not from online download, it was completely packed with keys and i registered the software online. It is still showing the number of days used and remaining days of licenses and its details

Licensed antivirus are much better than free once i don't pay for license antivirus either their is so much piracy in the world that yo don't really need to buy anything i don't buy anything you can easily get keys for full licensed version antiviruses.I m presently using Avg internet security 2009 licensed up to 2018 i can give you the key for it or if you want to try something else like quick heal or bit defender then pm me here and ill give you the key for any antivirus you want to use just tell me the name.

i don't know about your experience but i have been using pirated keys for over 6 years and i has never corrupted my files ever.this antivirus is activated till 2018 and updates and all works great since i installed it my pc is working great. If you are worried about it so much then you should buy one cause i do agree with you when you say companies keep making patches etc for reducing piracy and all but they don't really corrupt files or anything the max they will do is you antivirus will expires and will be stuck in registry which will create problems for other antivirus which you install. As it is recommended one should never install two antivirus together. And when you format your pc only then it will be removed.

you can send the key, but how long it will work?, now a days, the antivirus vendor are keenly watching the piracy, immediately they send the message about the usage of piracy, i think i will not be possible to have key for all sort of antivirus softwares. I have a lot of experience with it. Still if i use, then it corrupts the files in our system, this may be due to reason of piracy can not beat original antivirus softwares

Yeah licensed antivirus you may find costly but it less cost than viruses do. :-) I use Symantec licence copy antivirus and also in my virtual machines I use AVG free edition.

In the past I always used one of the free antivirus protections available, mainly AVG or Avast and found both easy to use and relatively problem free. I now use Norton after buying the protection at a reduced rate as part of a package when I got my computer last year. It seemed worthwhile paying for the protection and I'm delighted I did as I have found it much safer than the free ones as it has given me a fuller overall security coverage.

I had experience of using both free and paid antivirus. Using a paid antivirus is a good option. I was previously using Avast free home addition. It was very effective but it failed to remove autorun antivirus from my computer. I also used AVG free but it slowed down my PC more. Now I am using K7 Total Security, It is running quite well since last six months. I got it around Rs. 600 with my new laptop.

I would like to get a licensed antivirus, but by searching on line, most of anti viruses listed shows the rate in Dollar not in Rupees, is it available in local dealers. How to find it. What is K7 total security, is it really doing well? if so give me the details.

There are quite a few legitimate free antivirus software there, but you have to be very careful when trying to get one. I heard some of the spyware distributers package their products as free "antivirus" software to solicit downloading. If you download these freeware, it's basically doing your computer more harm than good. So I wouldn't risk downloading any freeware unless absolutely necessary. Based on my experience, it's worth paying for licenses antivirus software.

I never paid for anti-virus. I run AVG Free, Eusing registry cleaner and Spybot search and destroy. They are free and I have good confidence in them.

Hi ranjith143, i use a free version of avast antivirus and i must say that it's a very good one, so far i've never encountered any problems with it. If you're connected to the net it will automatically update the virus database so that your system is always on the gaurd. You don't need to buy expensive antiviruses when there's lot of good antivirus available. Thank you.

Since I do a lot of surfing, and often wander onto questionable websites, I decided use an Anti-virus program that I pay for. I can't risk losing all my data because I didn't want to pay $20 a year.

well, if you dont to spend more money, you can use AVG antivirus for free version. avg is good enough for us ;) but, if you more care about security, you can use KASPERSKY INTERNT SECURITY for more secure, i use it over 4 years on my laptop. i never got any problem about virus on my laptop. kaspersky is the best i thought.
