Is there a good preferably free way of getting people to respond to your blog. I've written a lot of pages and blogs but they seem a bit boring without other people leaving comments. Is there a free or very cheap way of making my blog more interactive.

hey puppy,
ask a few of your friends to comment on your blog,
as people don't like being the first
once you have a few comments from your friends you might be surprised how many people then start following the leader and commenting
though be aware might not all be good comments he he he

There are two ways:
1- having a popular blog. People loves commenting to popular people or popular websites, a little "follow the leader" thing. However, if the blog isn`t specially popular is really hard to get comments.
2- telling your friends about your blog. Even if it`s only your friends, you sure can get comments from them. If they`re lazy but they have blogs, if you comment often on theirs they will end up commenting in yours too. This doesn`t always work but it`s worth trying.

Thanks, Yea I know my blogs need work and more content too. I just thought if there was social interaction aswell it would make them more interesting. I was previously limited by dial up but I now have broadband to get that content happening yay!! Sometimes I;m a bit confused about whether Im legally allowed to republish stuff.

From what I've read on some on-line courses I have done on marketing, with blogs "content is king" and people don't like to be sold to. So when blogging it is best to give information away. I visited your blog and I felt I wanted to comment. There was on post on there where you said something like "my lonely blog". I felt that was good because I can easily identify with that statement having struggled for a while to get visitors.
I am passionate about Zen, so I blog mostly about that, and there are some links to myLot, my own website and other products from afiliate programs I have. I try to keep them out of the main posts though and only refer to them now and again if I feel they will help visitors.
Also consider joining a forum called blog catalog.com You can build up friends on there and chat about your blogs and lots more. Good luck.. Derek
