Do we trust politics? Is people's opinion about politics changed? Do they help people or just use and lie people?
What's your opinion? Who's the most trusted politic in the world and why?
I think one of the most trusted politics is the Bulgarian prime-minister Boiko Borisov.
It's because he always finds the best answers, he's showing that his team really work. Everything looks like growing. And most of the people trust him. I also know that Italian prime-minister is trusted too!

Here in the America, the idea of "politics" makes me sick to my stomach. Even the "good" politicians, in comparison to the corrupt criminals in office, have decided to go against what people actually want and to make a career out of it.
There's so much hypocrisy in politics. There's so many lies and scams and ways to cheat people out their money. I cannot rightly trust men and women who tell lies to get elected, cling to party principle only, vote to have their pay and benefits increased, and meanwhile funnel money into uber-large business while ignoring the layman--the working man!--in the United States.
In my opinion, our politicians started to lose our trust when they decided that a career in politics was the way to achieve the proverbial American dream.
The field of politics offers far too much to lure in the type of people that are really, truly needed. Politics in America needs people who live in the same neighborhoods they're trying to help -- not people who live up on the hill and look down at the trouble. Politics needs people that have real world experience when it comes to working and making a change -- not elitists who went to cushy liberal universities and learned failed political theories regarding social utopia and wealth redistribution.
The perks for being a politician here in America attrack the type of candidates who're more interested in a position of power and an easy ride. You get a huge salary, well beyond what any teachers, police, firemen, plumber, mechanic, carpenters, etc, make. You get some of the best taxpayer-funded health insurance for yourself and your family that money can buy. While you're "working," you don't have to spend ONE SINGLE PENNY on food or drink or travel, etc -- it's all taken care of by the taxpayer. And you have a mighty healthy pack of benefits waiting for you when you retire (read: fail to get elected again).
Granted, a lot of our politicians are already well off in terms of money when they decide to run for office. In fact, with the way we've evolved as a nation of celebrity-sucking stalkers, you have to be rich enough to advertize, otherwise we won't vote for you.
So, in my opinion, I don't trust politics. It's where the rich truly do get richer. It's where people good at running campaigns are elected to run the country. They're ALL doing a p1ss poor job at it. Meanwhile, we pay them more and they take more and they have to be loving every single second of it.
To quote Christopher Walken in Catch Me if you Can, "The rest of us really are suckers."

Wow, this is what the meaning of comprehensive answer is! I didn't expected such a comment! And you're talking about the real problems! I think your words say it all. I have nothing more to declare. It's just another proof that people don't trust politics at all. The American politics lost the people's trust! What else to say. . .

Politics is a dirty game. Some people are power crazy and fight hard to win in an election. Once elected these politicians will accumulate as much wealth as possible to enrich themselves forgetting those who voted them to office. Most politicians are professional crooks and their corrupted acts are well concealed. I really cannot think of any good of any politicians as most of them are two headed snakes. They are good orators and are charismatic. They can make people listen to their speeches for hours which are but political gimmicks.

I don't know about other countries, but in the United States, it is becoming apparent that we don't trust the politicians who are in office now.

...Hi stand87, Nowadays it is very hard to find a most trusted politician. They tell you one thing to get elected and once they are elected, they do something entirely different or they get corrupted with all the money that gets thrown at them to buy their votes. Like in this health care thing here in the states. I can't think of one that is very trustworthy, the nature of the game is slight of hand. President Obama is very well liked, but his followers are wondering if they will get what they think they voted for. It's a litle mess at the moment. Take care.

Hi, artistry!
The situation here in Bulgaria is close. Our prime-minister Boiko Borisov is very well liked, one of the most trusted people in Europe. But the people he works with are not, and this makes foggy situation. We still have hope, but also I know that one person's not enough to clear all the junkie.

I call politics "politricks" People just want to hear who gives them most hope. Chances are they know it is all lies. It depends on who can tell a better convincing lie. Year after year people are promised a better life and all but 80% of all the promises made will not be fulfilled. I guess 20% is a lot hey? By the end of the term we get someone new and with a new set of promises. Or the same ones sounding as though they are different one. After all the name of the game is to play with words.
We can't trust politians but we can however play along in the game. And hopeful win too.

No, we don't trust them. In Ireland for instance in my local area there is a politician who was campaigning for stricter parking laws in the town. He offended the business people in the town by his campaign. This politician has a serious bone disease in his leg which has a possibility of being life threatening and he finds walking difficult. One day before an election he was delivering something to the council office and parked his car outside illegally because to park legally he would have had to walk a longer distance from his car to the office and his leg was sore. But the business people secretly photographed his car parked illegally and sent the photograph to the local paper to discredit him. They also harrassed him with phone calls before the election which he managed to win. There was clearly mistrust and bad feeling on both sides and this time for a change the politician may not have been crooked or deliberately anyway. But it is a devious game politics. Can't we do without this type of behaviour in an adult world.
