I receive all the time e-mails from people in Africa, who claims to have lots of money, usually, over US$10,000.000, they are willing to share it with me, of course, I have to give them my account number first, I wonder if somebody had ever did such thing, I mean, give his/her account number to these people. I feel sorry for them, I know there are a lot of poverty in Africa, but I wonder if there are any way to stop receivig such mails, if you know some, please let me know.

So far I have not found any way to prevent this mails to come to us, but, you are right, being fair, scam mail comes from everywere, not only Africa, yet, most of what I get comes to me from there, I just send them to the spam folder, and, later delete them from there, unopened.

Scammers always try and get everyone! I have two email addresses that I used to use (now I only use one). The reason why I don't use the other one is because its full of junk email mainly from scammers trying to give me money. My other email address is half full of scam emails, but I delete them. The thing I've noticed lately though is the scammers are finding new ways to do their business that make it look more legit. I was just reading an email this morning where someone was trying to get all my bank account information because I inherited $1,000,000. I am suppose to contact some guy in London to have it all transferred. Although there was reference numbers, control numbers, and supposed account numbers it was still way to fishy to be true. There are plenty of people out there who get caught up in these scams and have spend the rest of their lives trying to put their lives back together. I will admit I've kind of gotten caught up in them, but then again I didn't. I got an email about a credit card that is free and there's no credit check or employment check. I thought that was pretty cool so of course I signed up for it. Later I realized it was a secure credit card which is prepaid. In the email it said I could have a credit limit of up to $5,000 so of course I made plans then the card came and I figured out what it was really about. It's such a horrible thing now because I do use it. I have half of my wages put on it so I have a debit card to use to make purchases easier and pay bills online. In the end scammers suck and I think the government should try and pinpoint these and go after them. Many people everyday get succumbed by these people especially because of the failing economy. People are looking for way out and if they see they can get umpteen thousands or millions of dollars of course anyone is going to like that idea.

I've received different variations of the same thing. Scammers send these e-mails to any e-mail address they can find, and I'm sure at least one person has fallen for it or it wouldn't be so persistent. I don't think there's any way to block these e-mails from coming permanently. Just delete them when they do come.

Thanks for your comment. I have a trick to open these unwanted mail, I opened a "Ghost" account, and I redirect them there, this to avoid virus, and I only open it on a public computer. Last chace I count, I had already over 400 mill US$.

I don't think there is a way to stop from receiving such emails into our email box. What we can do is, just delete them, whenever we had received any of such emails. I had been receiving such emails many times, last year and i just deleted them without giving them any personal information. It's better not to give any personal information to anyone who had requested through the emails. Because we never know what these people are intended to do with our personal information. So, better not to trust any of such emails.

Yes, I never give any personal information, I used to opened this mail redirecting it to a fake account, I opened only on rented computers, I did it only for fun, but, I got bored, and I donĀ“t do anymore, nowadays, I delete them when they come to my mail box, those that come to the spam box, are deleted by the sistem.

Just like the others have said, you do not want to respond to the emails. You never want to give any information out to anyone like that. You can prob. mark them as spam, but most likely they will still come in another form/ email.

Yes, I do not open them anymore, I used to do it from a fake account, but I got bored, though some of them were funny, it is dangerous to open such emails, and giving them any information.
