I have to agree with you MyLot really is a good site, because of all the ideas that many people have. We can have discussions about some serious and some not-so-serious stuff, while only quality posts are allowed here. This makes it a superb website, indeed. I also hope that myLot adds new things, and I hope that it will also be able to last a long time. Maybe one day myLot will get very popular, and there will be millions of people here. I wonder what it would be like, then. . .

Welcome to MyLot, Joe! I think that you have shown the right balance in what you say. There are many (and various) people here but the ones who have been here the longest almost universally agree that it is the quality and variety of discussions here and the ability to learn from the experiences and opinions of others that is what makes the site compelling (even addictive!). The fact that one can earn a few dollars a month doing it is really a 'bonus'. Recently there have been several discussions started by an Admin with the intention of gathering feedback about bugs, problems, desirable features and suggestions. The Admin goes by the name of 'GoAskAlice' and you can see the discussions listed on her profile page here: http://www.mylot.com/GoAskAlice . There's a lot to read but you will find many interesting posts and gain a great deal of insight into what MyLot is about by going through them. I suggest that you bookmark them because I doubt you'll read them all in a sitting! There are many questions that newcomers ask about MyLot, such as 'How do earnings work?', 'How do I get paid?', 'How can I increase my earnings?, 'What do the stars by people's names mean?', 'Why was my discussion deleted?' and so on. All such questions are fairly adequately dealt with in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx . It is well worth reading those before asking such questions as 'discussions'. While you will find that many members here are very willing to help, any discussion that is already dealt with in the FAQs does tend to get deleted! It is well worth getting to know the Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx . MyLot is a place where almost anything can be discussed (provided it's 'legal, decent and honest') but there are a few kinds of 'discussion' that are not allowed because they do not encourage quality responses. These are listed under the 'DO NOT' section. It's important to remember that they are not 'Rules' so much as 'Examples' which define the spirit and ethos of MyLot. I have been a member here for nearly four years and, personally, I have found it very valuable as a place to practice writing, meet and interact with many people (and to make some friends) and also to gather information about topics which are 'hot' (useful if you are into writing articles or doing any online marketing). Like you, I think myLot is really great. To some extent, it acts like a Mr. Q&A. When you have questions, you can post them here, and, usually, you can get people's opionions or suggestion on them. It's a so so large community that we can share our lives, develop our interests, and ask our questions, etc. Ha, happy mylotting~

I love myLot for these very reasons. . It's nice to hear some appreciation! I don't know what I'd do without myLot. After all, I'm kind of obsessed with this site and can't stay away from it.. !

You are right that mylot is really a great place. I have only been here since April of last year, and I have enjoyed every minute of my time here. I have learned so much, made lots of friends and earned as well. I have never once regretted my decision to join mylot. I just wish I had joined sooner than I did, but now that I am here, I am not going anywhere, as I hope to be here for years to come. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
