My grand ma uses to pamper all her grand children equally though it could easily identify who her favorites by the way they treat them special like anyone else. I have little know facts about her as she is already too old at the age that it is already too late to form strong attachment unless one have spend a lot of time together. Finally, all grandma is fine as long as you learn to respect them with less amount of deception.

My dear grandmother has already expired 15 years from now. But till today , i've remembered the wonderful moments with her. She loved me very much and used to tell nice stories during sleep. Whenever i was not taking my meals, she used to tell me about ghost stories to make me fear and so that i can eat immediately. The most memorable moment is that when oneday i threw a big piece of white chalk at her head. Her head got swollen very big. I thought that she will punish me severely but instead she didn't tell me a word. I really felt very guilty that day. I should not have thrown that chalk to her. Because, i was small she didn't mind my foolish activity and forgave me. She was really very kind hearted lady hard to be forgetten.

Well, i dun have much memorable memories with my grandmother, even though she dotes on me and my brother.. As we are quite young, we tend to stay away from her, because there's one foul smell coming from her.. hehe ^_^
Though she does not scold us, or beat us etc, still we are scared of her.. Especially when she starts talking to us.. Because she's speaking in a language i dun understand, and it's hard to communicate with her as well.. hehe ^_^
But too bad, now she's already gone, and by time i wanna remember whatever good times, there's none..

Hi Amyson,
The following were some of the memorable moments I had with grandma (mother’s side):
A long walk to church, pray the rosary and novenas
A travel to a city and buy things for my brothers who’s her favorite
Series of talks about values and good practices
Story-telling about fairies and legends
Lots of good times and memories with Grandmother Maria Bedural-Resuena. She’s already deceased for almost 20 years now.

I never knew my grandmothers so I have no memories. My mother's mother was certainly NOT a good mother and by all reports I should be thankful I didn't know her. She did have an affect on my life though, because, owing to her upbringing, my mother was unable to show love to her children, and had many of her mother's bad traits.
My father was disinherited by his parents when I was baby. Although his parents helped my mother a little when my father left us, I have no memories of my father's parents, who I believe were extremely nice people.
Now, as a grandmother of five, I hope to leave my grandchildren some happy memories.

i know that we have sad experiences with our elders but we also learn from them to become strong in life and correct what our grandparents do to us that is not nice we learn from what we see.so when our time to be grandparents we make sure that we share good memories to our grandchildren and being nice to them.

My grandmother was a great cook. One day me and my sister were fighting that who should cook that day. My grand mother being 80 years old, did not feel fatigued for cooking. Instead she asked us to go aside and cooked two dishes so tastily within no time. From that day I never felt boring to cook. It was inspiration for me.

I only got the chance to meet my grandmother on my father side. My grandmother was strict, she don't want loud noises, even the continues laughter. Her face was always mad. But she was nice to us, when we need to eat on time, he strictly call us whenever we were playing outside. Because we were afraid of her, we obey. She likes to give us chocolate if someone gave her, she always wants to see us smiling and thanking her. what I will remember about her are here stories about ghost and some creatures in the dark. That was her way to let us sleep early and to sleep with lights off, because the creature might seen us when the light is on.

I guess my most favorite memory of my grandmother are the times when she'd load us kids into her old Oldsmobile before daybreak to take off on a frequent fishing trip, amyson. I loved those outings and I really enjoyed learning to fish. These days I only fish while playing games, but I still have the wonderful memories.

I bonded with one grandmother in the same way. She bought me a little sewing kit and taught me how to sew when I was six years old. She also did beautiful crochet work and I learn some of that from her too. My other grandmother did not have much, but she liked what she called nicknacks and when I went to her house she would take me around to show me each of her little figurines that she had acquired over the years. She also liked to sing a little song in her native language, but my mum would not allow that, saying only to sing in English around me. I wanted to hear her song!

My most memorable memory of my grandmother was actually a moment of bonding between her and my daughter. My grandmother passed away in 2006 when my daughter was almost four years old. Kathryn had started gymnastics early in the year and was learning a lot from it. My grandmother was recovering from a broken hip and was using a walker at the time. Kathryn interpreted the cross bar on the walker to be like the bar at gymnastics and my grandmother would hold the walker so it wouldn't shake while Kathryn did flips over it.

One of my fondest childhood memories includes my grandmother. She used to send me every Sunday to the store to buy her a newspaper. She would give me a little spending money to buy myself some candy. She made me feel special.

I have so many wonderful memories of my maternal grandmother that it's hard to come up with just a few moments. I remember my grandmother sitting alongside the pool, in the hot Texas sun, while I took swim classes or just swam. I also remember taking a Greyhound bus to visit my aunt. By the time we arrived my grandmother knew everyone on the bus and stayed in touch with many people she met throughout her life.

I really love my grandma and unfortunately she suffered from a stroke and is not that active as she was before and she always need assistance in everything that she do. I miss those old times.
