I prefer sweet popcorn to salted though I would it salted if it was on offer. But if I had to choose between the two I would go for sweet everytime.
i also like toffee/butterscotch popcorn but after a few mouthfuls it can get sickly.
What is your best sweet or salted popcorn? or what other interesting topping do you have?

This is a tough question. If there was no dieting in effect, I would likely take the sweet over the salt flavored popcorn but it would be a very close race.
I enjoy the butter toffee popcorn too.
I am not into salt on my popcorn. When I make popcorn, i use an air popper but I melt a bit of butter on the stove, then remove from heat and cut the melted butter 50% with olive oil. I slowly drizzle the butter atop the popcorn and generously sprinkle flaked nutritional yeast onto that, stir and more butter and more yeast. I Love This to the Max. My all time favorite. Since I am not eating butter any more, I just use straight olive oil, making less pop corn at a time now but is still really good.

That's a good idea since often time changes our preferred tastes.
The flaked nutritional yeast adds a cheesy type flavor. It is delicious! Hope that you get a chance to try.

Sounds good to me.
What type of flavour does adding the yeast create?
When I was young I once tried popcorn and ice-cream because some kids I knew used to eat it like that, it did not really taste that great to me then but I may have to try it again one day and see what I think now.

Ok that makes sense and you just reminded me that alot of vegan recipes put yeast as a substitute in recipes to give a cheesy flavour.
I have never had chessy popcorn so it would be a new one for me.

I was looking for at popcorn in the supermarket after all this talk about it...lol
Plain popcorn is actually not bad for you saw it in a detox recipe, it is when we start to add all the sugar, butter, toffee etc that it becomes naughty.

Do you make the buttered yourself or buy it in the store?
When I was young when we made popcorn we used to put butter in the pot instead of oil and do it that way.
the microwave buttered popcorn is good to but there is nothing like homemade popcorn eaten fresh.

Frsh popcorn is always delicious, I like it when you go to the cinema and you get there when they have just restocked the popcorn and it is still warm - delicious. I always go for sweet at the cinema but the other day my husband brought some salted popcorn and I said I was not really into salted but when i tasted it it was ok.

Hi, Ros3Taylor. I like the Sweet Buttermilk popcorn. I live Orville Redenbaucher's brand. I like having the lower sodium popcorn too. Anything that is buttery with not that much salt would be fine for me. I also like caramel and toffee popcorn. This is delicious for an light snack.

I have not tried Sweet Buttermilk popcorn but it sounds very nice, will have to research if it is sold in the UK.

Forget about buttered popcorn that is good too. Anooying when the popcorn gets stuck in your teeth though lol.
Caramel ones are very much like the toffee - crunchy and chewy at the same time. Yummy this is making want to go out and by some.

I have not heard of kettle corn what type of popcorn is that? What is it made with?
Chocolate and peanut butter are nice together so I imagine the popcorn reduces the sweetness of the two and the sicklinees you can get from getting too much of the combination, as I can only eat a few reese's cake before feeling sick. Do you buy it or make it yourself?

I have never had cheese popcorn before - I guess it would taste very similar to cheese snack-a-jacks which are rice cakes made with rice and corn so I can imagine it tasting really nice.
Do you make it it yourself or buy it?
