Do you mark on your book or note?

When you study then do you mark your book by pencil, pen or something else? Or you keep your book clean??

I always have a note for something that I must remember, I don't mark on book, even by a pencil, I want to keep the books clean sothat it doesn't bother the others to read them after me.

Sometimes, I do to make it easier to study and remember things, but I don't always do it. It depends on the subject, and such. Some of my textbooks, you'll find that I've highlighted certain things or written in them. But others you'll find clean. It just varies on the textbook and such.

If it's an actual textbook I never write in my book. I keep all my notes in a notebook. If I were to write anything in the book, most likely I would never come back to that page and see what note I had written.

I mark in book when i don't know the word ,and i check in dictionary for what the meaning of that particular that i don't know ,so for this i mark in note to know the meaning,i gain knowledge with this and i know so many words with help of marking in book or note something else.
