can you listen without force feeding me god?

i recently was asked by a friend how me and a man were getting along. so i shared my recent conversation with her. how he had poked around with questions at me last three years. finally a tender spot came up that i asked to be left alone till i was more confortable talking about it. well dude would leave it and pried till he heard it all. i confessed to my friend that it had stung a little to have that hurt resurface before i was ready. she laid into me about god and how i cant live in the past and he sent his son... all this i know. we go to the same church in he same study group and she has met my son. so she knows how spiritual my life is. i acually now know what it is like to be on the reciving end of unwanted preaching. i really just was awnsering her question. we are doing good, but had a little mole hill. now she is mad at me for telling her to stop preaching to me before applying it to her own life. any one have similar life experience?
