To be exact i had my first cellphone without text messaging in 1998. then changed it in 2000. Then again in 2002. After that I had two more phone so all in all I used 5 cell phones since I started using the gadget.
I am not a cell phone savvy so I just buy what I can use without looking at the other features. I know some people change cell phones many times a year and try to upgrade their cp's all the time.

I'm on my third now, but it is only the second one I've bought. First I borrowed a cell phone of a friend, a really old one. The two I've bought have been about the cheapest ones I could find, no camera, nothing that can be ruined if you look to hard on it. The one I have now has a flashlight, that's actually quite handy.

hi! i lost count but since i'm responding to this one, i'd count as i type away. hehe
i had my first back in late 1999 when i moved to a new city and a new job, limited features and i don't care to remember what the brand is, prepaid service. hehe early 2000, the company gave me a cellfone. late 2000 i bought a new one for postpaid service this time. mid 2001, when i resigned from work and moved to another country i bought one more to keep both my filipino and indonesian sims. december 2001, i got mobbed and lost a cellphone so i bought a new one again. early 2002, got back at my old company with a new position and a new cellphone.
i have counted six by now. and there is still a long way to go.
my postpaid service allows me to have a new cellphone every two years. but since i had many phones in postpaid lines, i practically have a new cellphone every 9-12 months since. i'm assuming i had at least 8 more cellphones between 2002 - 2009.
so it's at least 14 now. i changed phones not because i was cellphone savvy also and trying to keep up at what's new and hot in the market. no. there was one point that i had 4 mobile phones with different network services which i needed to keep up with my work, travel, and family as well as friends. my requirements are simple, just mostly call and text features that i can also use for roaming when i'm outside of the country and long battery life. i have lost 3 cellphones in total thru being mobbed once and thru theft 2 times. the rest i have given away to my sisters and nephews and nieces.
the current one i'm using is about 7 months old in my possession. she switched phones with me because my other phone (samsung) has features that she needed. but until now, she hasn't given it back to me. oh well, since i'm not particularly fond of her nokia cellphone i just might buy another samsung for myself before valentine's. hehe

i've had five cellphones since time immemorial. lol!
really can't remember when i first had a cellphone like i said i have had five cellphones. the first on i replaced because i upgraded to a new one. then that 2nd cellphone was stolen at knifepoint. god bless the soul of the robber! lol!
the third and fourth cellphones i had were old units that my mom previously owned. out of pity for her eldest son who didn't have adime on him to buy a new one, she gave him her phone. twice. best.mom.ever.
the fifth one which i'm currently using right now is a gift from my dad. again out of his love for his son. best.dad.ever.

I've had all of 3. Firstly, I had a Virgin Mobile prepaid phone (called the "slide" or "slider" or something) and had that for about 2 years. And then I got my first Blackberry, and now I'm on my second one (after losing mine 2 months into having the first one.. lol.) I love my Blackberry. It took me a while longer than most people to get my first cell mainly because of financial reasons: most of my friends' parents pay for THEIR cell phone bills whereas I've always had to foot the bill myself. I finally bit the bullet and now have a contract cell phone. And I'm extremely happy with it!

I only have ever had two cell phones. Cash is hard to come by so if people need to reach me they can call my house and I can call them back. My boyfriend on the other hand, you do not want to know. He has had, I don't know, about 12 so far in the last 2 years. He is a cell phone fanatic, and I am trying to break him out of it.

I've had 9 cell phones since I started using one. I have a bad habit of losing them or them becoming broken.

I've lost count the number of phones I've had. I haven't had much luck with them or providers. I think I had three in one year. Not because I didn't take care of them, but it was cermistances beyound my control. Usually I'll upgrade if the perforamce is getting to where I'm simply frustrated with it, or it has an accident. I would probably say maybe about ten phones over the years.
Two were stolen, another got an unexpected bath, another two just wore out beyound repair, and one was taken from me after my service was cut off after a misunderstanding. So yeah..... I have bad luck with phones.

I can't remember completely, but I want to say I've had 3 cell phones. I don't get into all that texting and videos and internet on my phone. I have one of those old fashioned "flip-phones". It just flips open and doesn't have any keypads or anything. My biggest gripe is when the phone doesn't keep it's charge and my new one so far is working great! Yeah.

My first cellphone was given by my uncle, then he change it to another unit and model. When I had my 3rd job which I earned big salary I was able to buy cellphones. I had the total of 5 cellphones but now I only have 1 because the rest was borrowed and the other was stole.huhu. But my cp's are not those expensive one. I just love to collect cp's before.

Since 2005, I just had one, which is now run-down. I'm planning to buy a new one, but I'm still saving for it. I want to at least have a cellphone with bigger LCD and which allows me to read e-books. Actually what I really want is Kindle right now. I guess I can do away with cellphone, but not computer. I love reading more than texting or playing game on my cellphone.

i never owned a cell phone of my own and i also dont have much interest in it
But i have interest on ipods and digital cameras.
I feel disgusted if i saw a fellow talking to much time.
it is the thing which we should use in emergency.
use the technology for good and useful purpose.
