Last week my auntie visited me here in my shop, she is currently studying accupuncture with a medical doctor. Long age she heard about one of the part of our body "spleen". She asked her instructor doctor what is its function in our body?
She answers that spleen is part of our digestive system, the food is digested in our stomach, then after it is digested, it goes to the spleen, the spleen is the one that separate the energy and the waste to our body. It distribute the energy to the body, and the unnecessary goes to the intestines that became a waste. For the spleen to function, a person must take hot drinks like hot tea, hot water, hot soup etc before and after eating for it to function. No wonder why most chinese are healty because they take hot tea before and after eating. Cold drinks may hinder the spleen to function right.

Our spleen is an important organ in the body. Its main function is to distribute blood, the body fluids to all parts of the body. According to the theory of Chinese traditional Medicine, you have to strengthen the spleen to cure any chronical disease. It plays an important role in the immune system.

hmm i dont know a lot about spleen thing, i just know that its part of our endocrine and digestive system, and that its digestive function is to release insulin to store excess sugar in the blood and then when the bodys sugar levels falls below normal it secretes glucagon to transform stored energy into glucose to be released in the blood.
