I have been unemployed for almost two months. I am still enjoying my vacation for now. But this morning,I received a job offer. It is tempting but the idea of working again for now is way out of my mind. I need help. Should I accept the offer even if I am having seconds thoughts on it? I was planning to have a job by March.

Dear Larish, Yes, I know how you feel... I also very relax-ing now. Not working.. but occupied with errands and fetching my son back from school etc. I love freedom, not tied down to '8-5 kind of job'. However, once in awhile when I see others dressed up for functions like 'Annual Dinner', getting year end bonus, monthly fix salary, I would say "I WANT A PROPER JOB". I too planned to look for a decent job in March. I hope I get one soon. If you like the job offer, the kind of job you have been looking for. Then, I think you should take it. It brings CASH. You have to asked yourself what do you want at the moment... Cheers and all the best!

What will happen now is that if you don't take the job, when you finally decide to get one, you won't find one. If I was unemployed for two months, I would jump at the chance.

In this economy jobs are precious. My husband and I moved at the end of the summer in 09. It took me a month to find a new job, which felt like forever. When I finally found a job it felt like a real blessing. If you think you'd enjoy the job, I say go for it. You never know if in a month there will be another job out there!

I have just got a job after four-and-a-half years at home with my baby. I have been at home waiting for my little son to grow up and start school. I was very happy as a housewife and did not wish to do a job; but then I realized that I need to use my education and also contribute to the house. When I started out to look for a job it was very difficult to find one because of the long gap that I had taken. Finally I got this job that I am doing at present and I am thankful that I am finally working. But after such a long time at home, it has been very difficult to get used to the work schedule and the long hours of work. I know you will not stay off work for so long. But if the job you are being offered is of your liking and is paying well then I would say go for it because good jobs are hard to come by.
