I just heard it from the news: the mysterious visitor on Edgar Allan Poe's grave at Baltimore didn't showed up this year. The tradition runs in this way: every year at Edgar Allan Po's birthday, a black dressed guy would show up to his grave and leave an empty bottle of cognac and three roses. This has been happening for over 60 years and it became a tourist attraction in Baltimore. But this year, the tourists have been disappointed; no one showed up. What do you think have happened to the mysterious visitor? Has he met his own end? Share your predictions!

I love Poe's work but I've never heard of this mysterious visitor . I think the guy/girl could've just been sick that day or that unfortunately they might have met their own end . If the person did met their own end maybe somebody else will pick up the tradition because Poe was a amazing writer.

i aslo love edgar allan poe but it's the first time i hear about this visitor. it's a shame really that he/she didn't show up! it fits so much with the whole poe-ish work and mysticism and darkness... i hope he didn't pass away. hopefully there will be some other person as invilved as this one to continue the tradition. a bit creepy tradition i would say...

That is really a shame. I am a big fan of the work of Edgar Allan Poe. The mysterious visitor at his grave site is one of my favorite pieces of Poe folklore. It is a shame that he is no longer showing up. Of course, I have heard a rumor that the visitor is not the same person who started the tradition. So hopefully a new person can take up if this person truly has met its end. It would be a shame to see something like this die.
