What would you do if your power went out for a number of days?

We are in the midst of an ice storm. Our lights went out once already but the chance of lines snapping is great as the ice continues to fall. I have heard of places being out for days at a time and wonder what they do. I heard it was coming so have taken steps to make sure we are all ok. I bought some food that we can eat without heating it up. I was rather shocked as I went through the store because I could not find a lot of food that didn't need heating. Peanut butter and jelly is of course one easy thing I got as well as other snack foods. Most of which I can't have. Fresh fruit I got too knowing I can eat that. I aslo made sure we had all the candles around the house ready. I even washed all the blankets in the storage incase we need them. The temps are below freezing and without power the heater won't run. So I am sitting her thankful we have lights at the moment but wondering what else I could be doing if they did go out for a few days. What would you do if you were in this situation and your lights did go out for a few days?
