It appears that Guardiola will sign a new deal with Barcelona, but he'll do this in July after the elections for club presidency. What do you think about this. Is it possible that if a new president will come to Barcelona then Guardiola leaves the club? For me it sounds like everybody took an insurance. If Barcelona will have bad results until the end of the year then they won't sign a new contract, and also if a new president will come to Barca and Guardiola doesn't agree with that person then he'll leave the club.

Until now it appears that Barca made another personal record for their team. They finished the first round of games in Spanish League without losing. If everything continues like this I believe that Pep will have a very strong position in the negotiation.

Indeed it was a great season for Barca and this made me very happy. Still, they have lots of work to do this year to prove that the team still has potential to win many trophies. They already lost one battle in Copa del Rey. But this was the least important.

I dont think Barcelona will let Guardiola leave the club that easily, if they win the silverware this season. I feel Guardiola will sign the new contract at the end of the season even with the likes of new president. But like you said, if they don't win the la liga then the new president might think about bringing a new manager to the club.

It's true that if Pep is successful this year also they will come with a good offer, but Pep is in a great position. Not many coaches have this opportunity to decide by themselves if they'll stay to one great club or they'll leave to another great club. Usually the coaches are forced to leave. I'm sure that he'll choose wisely.

Hi jengkol,
It's true that this is a clever move from Pep, but also I think that it's a clever move for the club also. They will see if Guardiola can keep up his good work or not, and after that they can decide. It happened in the past when a coach had great results for one year and after that he couldn't do anything to keep those. Personally I don't think that this will be the case for Pep, but it happened.
