I cannot stand to use a towel more than once. I don't mind little hand towels even though I change them out frequently. I do not like to use a bath towel more than one time though. Do you? It just seems nasty to me, I get out of the shower to dry off, wiping down my body including my butt. Then the next shower if I use the same towel I start drying my face.... with what part of the towel? Was it the part I dried my backside with??? EEwwww!! Do you reuse bath towels?

I agree with some of the other posters here....you are drying off a clean body so there is nothing really nasty about reusing a towel. Think of it as saving water for the environment because if you are constanting washing and washing the same towel when it is clean then you are wasteful. Most major hotels offer this same service of reusing your towels in order to conserve water. Maybe after using the towel you could throw it in the dryer with a dryer sheet to refresh it.

I have heard that motels were asking customers to reuse towels to help conserve water. I do reuse my towels, but I don't prefer it. I prefer a clean towel each time I shower.

I'm on your side. I cannot stand to use a bath towel more than once although I have a slightly different reason. I cannot use it twice because the second time it is not as soft as the first time and I have a big problem with things touching my skin that are not soft. This includes upholstery on couches. Weird, huh? I could not sit on our couch for the longest time if I was wearing shorts without laying a throw blanket underneath my legs. When it was time for us to buy a new couch, I bought one that is covered with microfiber so I have no problem with it now. Now I just need new dining room chairs...

That's a good reason too! It's really not as soft that second time around! I hate it when towels wear out too. Then they are just like this big squeegie!

hi macdingolinger, well if you have really showered and got yourself really clean like you should your bum and your otherprivates should not be dirty. Furthermore here I have only one set of towels so it would be hard to try to keep washing them ,in an outside world where you are in a home or apt and have a person who washes clothes each day sure, have a fresh new towel and hand towel and wash cloth but a lot of us do not have people standing by to wash clothes for us each day. oh eeewww to this discussion too. Yes I do as I only have so many and they only wash my stuff once a week here in Gold Crest. I figure if i have got myself really clean with lots of suds and water then my bum or my front or my foot is not going to poison my face as they are all clean. and too I do not dry my face on a bath towel, thats utter nonsense. handtowels are meant for face and hands. let common sense prevail here.

I need to take a good look at my procedure for bathing!! lol!!!I just can't think about wiping my backside, although clean, then wiping my face next time is cool!! I may do the hand towel option when I take my next shower! It still saves quite a bit on the water and washing too!

LOL I so afree. But, I saw a product that you may be interested in. It's a towel that is marked. One side is for your face, and the other, your "bottom." lol Take a look - http://www.amazon.com/Westminster-Butt-Face-Towel-Model/dp/B0006GKKLW

Hi there macdingolinger. Well, I do reuse bath towels. After taking a bath, you're clean right? So even though you rub that towel on yourself, still, it's clean... what only have change is that the towel is now wet... but never dirty. Anyways, you could hang that towel and let it dry under the sun then reuse it. In summary, when you take a bath, you're clean so using your towel to yourself won't make the towel dirty.

But, maybe after 3-4 uses, I would definitely wash and laundry it.

who ever uses a bath towel to dry your face and hands is like taking an airplane to go a block, its silly, handtowels are used only for face and hands. a clean body does not foul up a clean towel. sure I wou ld love fresh towels for each bath but I am not a millionaire.

It's still nasty! However, I do use them over since I have a situation with my laundry and limited towels! Maybe I'll just buy some more towels!

I've got to say I am totally with you on this one. I understand the concept that it may be ok for an extra day or two...but I can't bring myself to do it. I think that overnight while it went from wet to dry it dried with bacteria or something on it. It bothered me so much that I could not use the towel twice because environmentally thats the right thing to do, that I actually went out and bought an entire extra set of towels so that I could compensate.
