haha =D Sports will always be my boredom buster.. I will never get sick and tired of running or doing exercises, for it's part of my life, and routine?? hehe ^_^ IN fact, i will feel bored when i'm not exercising at all!! lol =D As exercising, allows me to explore different ways of training, and running allows me to explore running routes, different terrains, distances etc.. Thus, my joy is derived from there.. hehe ^_^

hi lucky, Those are the things which i use to do most of the times but it becomes tired of those stuffs too and all I would like to do is to go out and smell some fresh air or go shopping or just walk along in the park, watching other people and so on. Since being in the home most of the time is tiring too and doing all the everyday household and doing repetitive work makes me think like it is not so inspiring it makes me feel tired easily so i need to unwind or go to a vacation if ever i have a chance. Even here in mylot I feel so bored too even though i like to reply even to my own discussion or to other member my finger just get tired typing and I do mylot as a sideline not a s ajob since it is like a practice venue for me to improve my writing skills. Have a good day my friend. Take care wherever you are now!

The only time I ever get bored is when I'm making a special effort to sit on the front porch to keep my husband company . Watching one person walk by every hour or two is not my idea of excitement. To pass the time, I think of scenarios for the story I'm writing.

hi bellis yes watching one person per hour that is boredom but writing in your head, that I can sympathize with as I do that at night before I fall asleep. I have a novel I am writing and i think of scenes in it and usually I fall asleep doing this. lol lol. I am unpublished but still hang in there.

hi bellis, yeah, it would be boring if you just sat their and watch without any exciting topic to discuss then every day encounter becomes monotonous. It is a good things you still have other diversion where you could used your brain to think intelligently putting your ideas on the book. thanks

I spend most of the time sleeping, playing online games, watching movies on DVD's and usually try to cook new food from recipes like baking and a good food. If i go out alone with no companion it is still boring for me unless i have companion with me it eases away my boredom.

hi ladyshadow, yeah, the cure for boredom is to remain active both in mind and physical since a mind with no activity could sometimes be the root of all evils. So keeping busy and productive makes anyone tired but at least is relaxing and being comfortable with your lifestyles that you already likes makes you feel active and those activities you mention are fine as long as in the process you learn a lot from them. thanks

well for me its my computer and surfing the net, how can one get bored when theres so many many different things on the net to get involved in? I love it so much and just wish I had had a computer in my youth, say my twenties, anyway I make good use of it now that I am an elderly senior citizen and not doing anything else exciting. I also love to read and write, and listen to Mozart so am seldom bored. life is too short to be bored. only the young can afford being bored.

Going the beach is my ultimate stress and boredom buster. Whenever I feel I am bored with city life I would ask my husband to go with me to drive out of town and spend a day or two in our favorite private beach. The serenity of the place gives me enough time to rest and relax. As I go back to the city I fell stronger and more inspired to start working again.

hi jhaycee, those things you mention are very effective and if it works for you then fine, and of course good thing you know to play guitar that is also one of my obsession to learn to play guitar the problem no one is patience to teach me so I prefer to play musicals instruments like drums and organ. And surfing the net is so good but for the long run I get so bored having to sit down for an hours it hurt my but and makes my eyes teary looking, so i need to freshen for awhile by going outside to see the real world and meet the live one, i mean having good conversation with real people.

I'm not going to lie, when I am bored, I usually either work out, jump online and surf the web, go for a run, play with my dogs or just call a random friend and talk for a while. My favorite boredom buster though has to be working on cars. I am a mechanic and I absolutely LOVE working on cars, whether it be repair or custom modification... I love it ALL!!

I know what you mean here. Whenever I feel so bored, and suddenly I come out with an idea, I'm not surprised already. There was this one time when I was so bored out of my mind, and I ended up watching movie at the cinema alone. It was time well-spent just by myself. I didn't want to ring up mates or ask anyone out because I was bored but at the same time, was moody to interact. So I chose to go out alone, and watched a movie alone. My mood lifted after that..

losing things, lost and found - Losing things happen when you forget some things.
hi zed, Well, that better you know to loosen out and relax then keeping yourself alone at yourself of by giving yourself moments of solicitude... Unlike me sometimes I has spend being a couch potatoes having to watch movies marathon all day along with a popcorn on my side but still find it boring that I also go out to see in the shopping mall such as observe what the people are doing then afterward eat in my favorite food hauz...

I rarely feel bored but on those rare occasions I read or watch a film. I listen to uplifting music if I feel a little sad or I take my dog for a walk. Taking a nap is another alternative. For me, most of the time it is a matter of needing a change of routine more than actually feeling bored. Everyone needs their batteries recharged every now and again and a change of pace.

Well, you see as we age, we really becomes bored and even depressed. Me, i usually keep my self busy with household chores. I also clean and fix the things in my closet. Sometimes i go to the malls to watch free concerts or shows. I visit my sister, nieces and nephews too and have a party with them. We prepare finger foods and sing and dance to our hearts out. These are some boredom busters for people who don't have money. You see, if i have lots of money i will go shopping whenever i feel bored. Some even travels abroad or just go out of town.

hi triplejazz, Yeah, my mom too get her boredom away by keeping self busy since if one is not doing anything or just slump on the chair or sleep whole day it could makes anyone felt tired while if one keep moving it keep the blood circulation in the body active making you feel more energized. So if one is not doing anything it is also tiring when one is not working anything.

My boredom buster would be my Ipod or reading a really good book. If I'm bored in my usual routine at work, I would file a vacation leave and hit the beach or travel out of the country. A good massage in a reputable spa would also be great.
