I have this time came with a very painful question. From the beginning I have been scared of syringes and needle. Well it really hurts me to have a needle in in body. Few days before I had to undergo a blood test for which needle has to be inserted into my arms. I was so scared that time. I just asked the examiner to pull out as much blood from my body as he can but don't put needle into my arms. It made him only laugh but nothing else. So it was about my experience. What about yours.

You are not alone, I am very scared of needles and unless it is absolutely necessary, I will not go anywhere near one. When my children got imunized my husband had to come because I couldn't look at the needle. I hate them just about more than anything, needles are definately one of my phobias. I find that it kinda helps if you don't actually watch the needle enter your skin, I guess you are too busy trying not to look at it, to actually feel the pain of it being put in there. Hopefully now you won't feel alone in your fear, I am sure there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way, I know I do.

Hi Sanjeev, I am not scaring with needle. I think there is nothing to scare. We feel only a minute pain and definitely we can tolerate that. I think we may feel scare by thinking about the needle. I am a mother of two and I have gone through much pain in my life as a mother. I think a needle can pain us only a little.

I'm not that afraid of needles as I am a nurse. Haha. You're lucky not having the experience of skin test or intradermal injection. I swear that it's a lot painful than blood withdrawn from the vein. It is also funny because when I was a student I had batch mates who are so afraid of needles.

I am not scared of needles but feel the pain when pricked to others(children in most cases) as they cannot tolerate seeing a needle or being pricked.henceforth they are scrared of doctors too. That is the only reason, needles seem to be scareful, but in actual sense they are not so. it is necessary to use needles to undergo any tests or examinations, may it be a syringe needle. But a tailoring needle on the other hand, helps in creating beautiful designs and stiching various textiles.

Yes, thought of needles even scares me. I remember whenever I felt ill and went to doctor's clinic, I never allowed to needles but always ask for medicines no matter how many they are.

I'm with you! I really hate to get shots or have blood drawn. I think a big part of it is how gentle the person doing it is. I have had some shots that were jabbed in and it felt like it hit the bone~! It's the one thing I really dread about visiting the doctor, I don't think it's something I will get over either. I like the idea that the examiner should get the blood with no needle...LOL..wish it could work that way!!

Absolutely do not like needles whatsoever. I avoid them whenever I can. It is absurd, as my few experiences with them are over before I know it. I just turn my head and try to think of something other than the needle piercing my arm. However, I avoid them whenever possible and only when absolutely necessary do I get something like that done.

I also am very scared of needles when I have to IVs started or blood drawn from me. I have even been known to pass out a couple of time. I tried to get a tattoo once, that was interesting. However, I do work in healthcare and it is necessary for me to draw blood on patients on a regular basis, so I have learned to just do it, and I always, always try to get all the blood I need on the first try.

No I'm not afraid of needles. What I'am afraid of is the blood I see during the procedure. I have done many physical examinations and even donated blood for red cross. What I do to lessen the pain is divert my attention to something else and never look in the needle during the procedure.

no i'm not scared but i'm scared if i will do that to my patient but i need to be confident so that my patient have trust on me. you can request the higher number of needle if you are scared because the higher number of needle, the needle is too small. but if you request the smaller number of needle, the needle is too big.

I personally am not scared of needles. But this is because I have had so many shots, IV's and whatnot that it doesn't phase me anymore. I think that some people are afraid of needles because they don't like the fact that a foreign object is entering their body. And this is a severe discomfort. But once we learn to accept the fact that we cannot control such things, that we become comfortable with it. Needles will never go away.

Yes i admit it even though i am a man i hate needles. As i have grown up i have come to accept them as time goes on but all in all i hate them. They do not feel comfortable when penetrating the skin and quite frankly i do not like uncomfortable feeling, also i do not think that anyone else does either. Great question was happy to answer it keep them coming.
