Hi, friends! Do you enjoy cooking? Is it a hobby for you or you just cook because it's necessary? What is the best thing you can cook? In my case cooking is hobby! I like to cook because it's interesting and fun. I can cook almost everything. And I think I'm doing it well :-) What about you? P.S. I'm interested what Janey1966 will post here But, of course, everybody can post!

hi yes cooking can be a hobby for those who love it that much. I don't prefer to use cooking as a hobby but more as a necessity. smile I enjoy cooking sometimes and other times its seem like a never ending chore. ha ha let me see the best thing I can cook I make a good spicy peanut sauce that I like to put over rice and vegetables. And my family says my black eyed peas are always good down to the last drop. well Mr. Stand285 can I make a request that you come to my house and cook up something good. smile ha ha well happy cooking !

I have never met any one from Bulgaria what is the food like there? What are some of the common dinners people in your country usually cook? Here in the states people love a good old steak and mash potatoes, there are allot of cultural food choices here so allot of people love to cook Italian food we Americans will never get tired of pizza and spaghetti ha ha ha. And Chinese food is a big favorite I don't know anyone who really tries to make allot of Chinese food at home but there are sure allot of restaurants to go to. Although my mother did make her version of Shrimp fried rice a few times.

Thanks, checkmail! Nice to see mylotter with similar interests like cooking. I love to cook dishes with soy products. The soy is interesting and new for me. Its taste is really close to the taste of meat - wonderful, isn't it?

I'm a very good cook but I don't really enjoy it. If it was healthy, I would eat nothing but frozen dinners! But there is too much fat and salt in them so I cook. My son was just here visiting for a week and I cooked a lot! He had a list of favorite dishes he wanted me to make. I liked cooking for him but I don't normally enjoy cooking.

Hey! Yes, I think cooking can be a hobby. I look at a hobby as anything you love and enjoy doing . If it is a true passion maybe you can turn it into a living or something. Just like any hobby the more you are at it the better you become at it. Well, Have a good rest of the day. Oh,I know when I am in the kitchen I like to just have fun! Test the waters! Because you never know what yummy thing you might come up with!

I just love to try out new recipies or make my own. No one wants to eat from the same old recipies every other day. I make the meanest pap and mince, you have ever tasted. The nicest thing for me, is when my hubby joins me in the kitchen. He can cook very well.

Hi stand how are you ?Unfortunately I do not like to cook, because i have a wife who can cook. If as a hobby, I can not seems to try. Because of my hobby is electronics. But on the other hand, I am a connoisseur of cooking. Especially chinese and sea food. Local traditional food in my area, if it was the season I love to eat petai with shrimp paste and salted fish. Once you try ?

Hi, lazuardy! I'm pretty well. It's good to have cooking wife, mom or grandmother. But sometimes you don't have chances when you live alone. And you need to cook what you want to eat. Of, course, if you want to eat quality food. I can cook some Chinese food, but I prefer going to Chinese restaurant when I want to eat something like this. It's because they cook in original way and I'm not that big cooker I didn't try petai with shrimp paste and salted fish. I'm not sure I can find this around here, but I'll give a try!!!

What's for dinner? I'll be right over , lol! You are my polar opposite . I nevee learned how to cook . I lok at it as chore. i rather just heat up a frozen pizza or order a fresh one than try to cook and end up ordering a pizza anyway. But I do bake. Unlike cooking , if I mess it up , it isn't a huge deal . One can forgo a dessert but not a dinner! So you make diner and I'll bring the dessert. What is you favorite dessert?

Bummer! I can bake a cake but the type you are talking about are best made by a professional. It's the type I buy for my birthday. Yellow cake with white buttercream frosting. Yum!

My mother and grandmother told me everything I know :) Well, I don't think I'm a wonderful cooker. But, yes, I cook pretty well! About pizza - I can make pizza all on my own. I mean, even the dough. And because you asked me - sorry, I don't like desserts at all But I like white, well-decorated birthday cake!

It is a pleasure to cook new items. Even if you cook the same regular items, every time it is an exam that it comes out well. When the dish is tasty, you feel you have achieved something. When it is appreciated by others, it is an award.

I am a member of both categories. I love to experiment and try new things, but there are many times that I find myself going through the motions and feeling like I am bored with cooking. I guess if I had a better selection of ideas in my head then things would be different. Also I have a family of 7. That's 5 growing kids and 2 adults. So to try new things too often is pricey. However, I do have the cooking gene. My specialty is biscuits and gravy.

Sure, actually cooking is one of my hobbies. I love cooking. I think it is very creative and I am very happy if my family and friends like my dishes. Besides, I enjoy eating. If I have a good mood, then my cooking will be extremely delicious:) I love China

If you would have asked me this same question a year ago, I would have told you that for me cooking is a chore. However, when we moved into our own house almost a year ago, I found that cooking could be fun too. I think it is enjoyable to cook things from my family for scratch and they enjoy to eat the things that I make. My favorite thing to cook for them is homemade chicken pot pie or chicken with peas and yellow rice. Any time I prepare either of these dishes, they will typically eat every bit of it.

When i got married, i was really looking forward for a good meal from my spouse, but every time she cooks, she would call me and to do the "taste test", giving the final approval for before it is served on the dining table. She was cooking almost the regular same menus for each day of the week causing some discontent and the decrease in appetite amongst my kids. So i decided to took on cooking lessons myself { watching tv culinary shows or recipe books from the bookstore and from relatives and friends}. Well, cooking as i find out is quite a rewarding feat especially when you cook something that is well appreciated! Yes, cooking is fun and very rewarding! Now, my wife cooks lunch and i cook dinner.

I love to cook if I have the time for it! But more than anything I enjoy baking cakes, cookies pastries and puddings. I love to bake cakes and to make delightful icing on them. I've made mickey mouse cake for my little son, and many other such fancy cakes. But now I am doing a job and don't have the time. My mother-in-law does all the cooking now.But I miss my baking and cooking. I guess once I am tuned in to working I can do my type of cooking in the holidays. But yes, cooking is more of a hobby with me.
