Can Christians be lesbians?

Hi puzzle7. For the most part, only as Christians in name only. In other words there are "Christians," and there are real Christians. A real Christian has Christ within them and would not continue in a sin that would disinherit them from the kingdom of God. From 1 Corinthian 6... 9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

As a not very devouted christian i will ask - does it matter if it is mentioned in the bible? imagine you just realise one day you are gay? what will you do if you are a devouted christian? will you just be miserable all your life just because it is forbidden ny the bible? doesn't god want us all to be happy? to have fullfilled lives? people after all are so full of contradictions...i think the most important thing is not to lie to yourself.

If you are a lesbian or gay you are born that way. You just don't wakw up one day and say "I'll be gay!" It doesn't work like that! Don't even try to read the bible aobut forbidding homosexuality! Especially the Old Testament! It is full of stories that are over exaggerate or toldly false! God doesn't forbid homesexuality! Normal people do and that is wrong! No matter who you are,if you are straight,gay,old,young,any creed or color God loves you! So get over the gay issue and worry about something that really matters like the enviroment! Enough said!

I've heard it's been warned against..Sodom warned against it somewhere-I can't quote it from memory though. It's probably one of the most controversial topics out there. And everyone has their take on it. I am not one to judge this-I'm leaving that part to God.

Hi! Welcome to mylot! Well, i think if there are really Christians, I mean if they are truly believers, then I think they can't and they must not be lesbians. I am not so familiar with the bible, but I think it is not allowed relationships between man and man, or woman and woman! You should better ask some more religious person, if there is some one here on mylot!

God is love and therefor He loves everyone, He loves unconditionally, whether or not you know Him, if you are a killer, a homosexual or a thief or whatever, His love never change. But it doesn't mean that He won't punish for He is a just God, He still gives judgement. We could not say that it's okay for us to sin because God loves us. This is what the bible says: 1) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 did say, "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male pr$stitutes nor HOMOSEXUAL offenders nor thieves nor greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. 2)Leviticus 18:22 "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." Anyone can claim that they are Christians, anyone can say that they know God. But the true believers of Christ does not continue to sin. 1 John 3:9-10 "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning..."

Lesbianism or homosexuality is actually a deficiency in the genes, so a science person told me. Sometimes a person who would like to be straight just can't help it but give way to his or her natural composition. But if one is made male or female, we are taught in our study of moral theology, we must strive our very best to remain so. Society had become so permissive in the last four decades that gays and lesbians had come out of their shells. It is not that I want them repressed but I would not want them to proliferate their sexuality. God made just two genders and we must stick to that. It is difficult for those who have hormonal imbalance but that must be considered as their own personal sufferance.

Yes it is a sin to commit lesbianism. Please read Genesis chapter 19 where God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because man prefer man rather than woman. And in 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 that woman is created for a man and man for a woman. So man for a man or woman for woman is not acceptable in the sight of God. Repent and be forgiven because God loves you and He wants you to be cleansed from being a lesbian.

Yes, it is a sin, but that can't stop someone from being who he/she is. There are a lot of homosexualists in the world and they are from every culture and religion.

A real christian cannot be a lesbian, it is a sin and God prohibits homosexual acts, relations and even thoughts! (Mark 7:20-23) God loves the sinner but He can't stand the sin, it's against his nature, for He is holy. First Corinthians 6:9-11 says that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. In Romans 1:25-27 says that woman who exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones and men being indecent with men will be penalize. If someone is not not going to heaven they are not Christians.
