I'm sure there are lot of cat lovers are here in mylot. I would like to know which is the best toy for a cat. I want a toy which the cat will enjoy playing with and never loose interest in it after some time. I'm new to cat breeding, so you can also give other tips on how to raise a cat. Thanks!

Its got to be catnip ofcourse!! They love the stuff haha! They love chasing things also so get them on a catnip toy and then use a ribbon or something, they love it best wehn you are playing with them i think its more real interaction.

I'd recommend a toy with catnip inside. Also an interactive toy like DaBird really keeps my cats interested for 15 minutes or so at a time - then they're ready for a nap. And with my cats, you can never go wrong with little stuffed mice - the more scattered around the house the happier they are. They hide them, and then rediscover them a day or so later and it's big fun all over again.

Hello earncommunity. I'm no expert about cats but ours seems to only play with my granddaughter,s scrunchies. The ones that are big enough to go around your wrist. She will play with them for hours. she hides them under the chairs and rugs then act like she is wrestling with the rug to get then out. sometimes she tosses them in the air and catches them other times she likes to carry it around in her mouth. She also like those pull tabs from the juice cartons. She does the same thing with them. My granddaughter likes to buy her different thing like feathers on a stick but the cat just isn't interested. I have bought her some of those little furry mice with catnip in them but she doesn't like them either. So we have given up on buying her toys.

I had a ball which was covered in thick wire and had a little toy inside that moved around as the ball was rolling. The cat loved it. Our cat's favorite toy or homemade junk toy was a small ball of yarn and letting her bat it all over the house. Works great until it gets under the furniture. Only had one cat in my lifetime. We had her 13 years and had to put her to sleep last January. It was an awful experience since I was so attached to her. She brought me several years of fun and happiness.

you plan to become a breeder? why? what breed? have you really considered this? if you are asking for advice on how to raise a cat and you want to BREED them, you really should investigate this more as for toys ALL cats become bored with a toy unless it is interactive - there are some that are - a string toy that kind of flings the string for them would probably hold their attention the longest Most of mine like a lot of different toys, Oliver loves craft puffs, another cat likes craft loops. Most like milk rings (off the bottles) at least for a while. The best toys come and go, move rather erratically (milk rings) or are light enough to be tossed easily.

It is hard for a cat to keep interest in toys. They like different things. Try to avoid strings, foil, or things that could break off and get swllowed. If that happens it could tangle around, or cut up your cat's insides. Try to get a scratching post as well, this will discourage your cat for using their claws on your funiture. Get a vority, strong durable toys are a must. Some cats don't know how strong they are, and their toys can become distroyed easily. Balls are good, but remember you may have to occassionly dig them out from under chairs, tables, couches, beds or anything else that has a narrow opening big enough for said toy, but too small for your cat to fetch themselves.
