Hi, friend. You're from China, right? Your discussion reminds me of my college days, though I didn't have the getting up problem at that time. Your problem, as is called by yourself, is not really a problem because it can be easily solved with much ease. The trick is to go to bed early at night, never staying up doing others things until 1am or even 2am. Try to change your sleeping habit and go to bed at about 10pm, which is considered by researchers as the best time for going to bed at night. From 10pm to 2am, you are in a sound sleep state and your body gets fully relaxed. After getting up(i mean usual getting up time, 6:30--7:00), you'll probably find yourself refreshed and energetic. If you stay up as late as 2am, your body gets no fully rest and of course you'll feel tired in the morning and find it hard to get up early.
Hope you'll soon get rid of that problem.
Have a nice day and happy mylotting!

I had the same problem before, my friend. Worse, I usually hit the sack late because I was always out drinking! I know it's a hard thing to wake up in the morning when you've only gotten 2 to 4 hours of sleep, but it's a lot worse if you wake up with a terrible hang over. LOL. Anyway, I guess everything boils down to time management and discipline. That's one thing college life teaches us, we live by our own rules and own choices, but we should be ready to face the consequences! Anyway, I found a solution to my dilemma before. I didn't want to get late or miss class anymore so what I did was sign up for the later classes, the ones that started around 4:30pm. LOL. Good luck in your class, Chen!

When I was in college, I used to get up around 7 on the days I had 8:00 classes, and 9-10:00 on the other days. I always stayed up late. Usually I would go to class on very little sleep, and take a nap in the afternoon. Then, of course, I would end up staying up late again. The best solution is really to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend, or what time your classes are each day.

Try to go to bed at around 10 or 11 and set your alarm clock at 5 or 6 am or ask someone to wake you up at your desired time. Later you'll be used of waking up early. Even no one will wake you up as your eyes will just open at the time you used to.

calculate how much time you need in sleeping. count what time you need to be asleep in order to wake up on time for your first class in the morning. have the discipline to sleep at that time. if you can't sleep, some say drink milk. if you need to stay up, check if you can be awake until your first class then just sleep afterwards. if you have a roommate, ask them to wake you up. get an effective alarm clock. or ask someone who you know is awake at the time you need to get up to call you and serve as your alarm clock. good luck!

I get up at 8 or 9 too. If you can get yourself up on time and you're not late for any of your classes then there's no need to blame yourself. I go to sleep pretty early because there's pretty much nothing to do in my room (no wireless signal for internet...) but if you do alright on 7 or 8 hours of sleep, then you really don't need to change anything. But if you want to go to sleep earlier, I guess you can try what I do and get bored to sleep
