Addiction is not a disease

Why does this disease concept of addiction, especially alcoholism, deceive so many when it their bad choices that causing them problems. But, yet they play that sad song of powerlessnes.

I do not belive an addiction is a disease. I do believe an addiction is just that.... an addiction. Nothing more. Addiction can only be cured when the person who has the addiction wants to be cured. Never before. A disease ( a non deadly disease) can be cured whether you want it to or not.

What do you call it when a substance causes an overwhelming chemical craving in the brain? Are you saying that addiction doesn't exist? Science disagrees.
