Hi Mylot Friends,
I just received a text message from my child’s caregiver informing me that my son made it to the SECOND PLACE for the final round of the spelling bee. According to her, out of 30 words he had two mistakes. Now he’s home and asleep. I am so excited to go home and give him a big and tight hug. I am teary-eyed now… I am so proud of him.
Right now, I am in the office and I am announcing it to my colleagues here that my son made it to the final round—hitting the second place. He made a good fight!
Angelo is not only a special child but a precious GEM. Hugs and kisses to you son from...dad, mom and brother gian.
My officemates are teasing me for a TREAT. Thanks for all your wishes and prayers for my son's great victory!
i am at work right now but i can't help it sharing my feelings to you mylot friends about this development...my simple tribute for my son, Angelo.

Hi Bounce,
Thanks for making Angelo the first in your book. I am so touched for hearing that from you. He too is the champion for us here. Even from the first elimination round he’s already a winner for us. When I talked to him over the phone a while ago, he’s requesting for an ice cream—so, I buy it for him and his brother. My husband is so happy and proud too for this great accomplishment of our dear son.

AWE! That is so precious. I applied for a spelling bee once but I chickened out because crowds scare me. That was back in 7th grade. My english teacher referred me to it.

Thanks Sherrypeck. You might be a latebloomer then. Your teacher saw a potential in you that’s why she encouraged you to be part of the spelling…but maybe by that time you’re not ready yet even if you have ability to be the winner. Anyways, that experience of yours made you a better student because it challenges you to overcome your fear and build the self-confidence that now you have. I appreciated your wishes for Angelo.

That is awesome and amazing and exciting and all kinds of different adjectives! I know you are so proud of him. I won my school's spelling bee in the 4th grade division a long time ago and got to participate in a competition that had kids from all over the city, one from each elementary school! I didn't fair as well. I spelled the first word correctly, but then got hung up on barbecue of all things!
