i have a roommate and we have different time of sleeping. i work everyday at 9am to 12pm and 5pm to 10pm. for her, she work 4pm to 12pm.
i just can't take it anymore that she always stay late at night and disturb my sleep. she always do voice chat with her boyfriend and watch movie while im trying to sleep.
i don't know if she is really insensitive or what that she doesn't even think that im sleeping.
from work, she starts her habit until 5 or 6 in the morning.. that's why when i got home from work, i try to sleep early so that it won't be hard for me to sleep when she comes. but even though i sleep early, i will still wake up around 4am because of the noise she is creating..
in the afternoon, i also try to take some sleep but unfortunately it is also the time she wakes up and prepare for work...
as much as i want to have my own room or house to have enough rest, i just can't...

I think, your room mate will have the same complaint on you.May be you are the one who is disturbing her daily routine. It is quite normal for two persons with different timings of work to not adjust with each other.Better, you shift to another room or house. That will help both of you.

Then have a straight talk with her and tell how you are disturbed by her routine life.Ask her to consider your feelings and maintain some peaceful atmosphere for your rest and sleep. She should be considerate towards you or the second option is to change your shift timings of work. Will it suit you?

Well i believe its the common problem everyone who stays in room with friends, so as my friend. She even puts light and doesnot sleep. I feel disturbed of sleep sometimes , so i try to sleep before she comes. We have to adjust as they cannot understand.

maybe you should tell her about it. She might just be unaware that she is disturbing you so telling her that what she does keeps you awake might be the next best option.

hello chesaid! i also experienced sharing a room when i was single. yeah its hard when nyoou have roommates who are very insensitive. i have this experience with aroom mate who will go home very late at night then make noise here and then. opening her locker and looking for something in a plastic bag, etc. she even slam the door when she closed it. oh i forgot, she also open the lights. grrrr.... LOL! thank God that is my last bad experience. my succeeding roommates are sensitive and polite enough not to disturb me while on sleep.
