Try 3-day apple diet. In three days, you only eat apples, washed and peeled. Usually 2-3 apples are enough for each meal. But if you are still hungry, you can have some more. And if you feel like you have bowel movement problem, on the third day, you can have a teaspoon of olive oil. If you don't feel uncomfortable after 3 days, you can do it a couple more days to keep your body adjusted. Good luck.

Is this really healthy with all the sugar that an apple contains? won't that make my glucose levels shot up? I appreciate the advice , but I think that is one I will have to research a bit more. Will keep everyone informed of my progress. Thank mylotters, you are the best.

Well, in my case, I control my food intake as well as do exercise. The good thing about me is that I can easily control my weight. There are times when I travel as part of my work that I get to eat a lot of food. As I get home, I would usually noticed that my weight is a little bit up. Then in just about a week or two of doing the two things, exercise and food control, I usually am back in shape already. I think the most important thing is self control and discipline. No matter what it is that you intend to do... diet or exercise.

You are right discipline is the key. Have already started an exercise regimen of walking, stair stepping. And some exercises for the abdominal muscles. Wish me luck.,......

i've tried it.
i am an asthmatic, and my doctor advice me to loose wight since getting fat is not good for me, it will contribute to my difficulty in breathing.
the measurement? well depends on your taste and how much you can take. the point here is less carbo, less meat and less cola drinks.
it will help you reduce faster... experiment it even just for a week and see the result.
good Luck!

I am working on this issue now. I have recently gained weight. My current plan is to:
drink more water
make sure half of my plate is fruit or vegetables
avoid restaurant food
It seems to be working. (At least for my husband, no major change in me yet).

Men seem to burn body fat faster for some reason. Someone once told me it is because a womans body is made for child carrying, so we seem to store body fat differently. I think body fat it is cruel joke ..........lol . Good luck and keep me informed on your progress as I will keep everyone imformed of mine. My Goal right now is to get into a size 8 and then go from there........

For me lose weight, I simply limit my rice intake. Since rice is our staple food, I usually eat them twice a day instead of the usual thrice a day. lack of sleep is also a way of losing weight but not a good idea to lose weight because it won't be good for our health.
Have a nice day cheryltippett.

Thank you for all the great advice. I definetly need to drink more water and stay away from the sodas. Coca cola is my weekness. Maybe I will moderate and gradually cut back on them . Instead of a 20 oz maybe just a 10 oz. Gradually wean my self off of them.........

With my schedule going to a gym would be nearly impossible. I have recently started back to school full time and have two children in school. Thats why I need to do something I can do at home. Walking and jogging are definitely something I can do from home. Thank you for the advice, I greatly appreciate it.

Hi cheryltippett! Eating fruits and vegetables will help you lose weight. Instead of eating junk foods or starchy foods, much on fruits, they contain more fiber. A eating yogurt daily would also help. Do fast walks or jogging daily too, 30 minutes will do. Just eat enough till your satisfied, eat to fill yourself up. Happy mylotting!

Hi Cheryltippett
Actually I am not fat nor thin, but I do excercise daily, and coming to diet I concentrate on pressure cooked vegetables with very less oil and avoid eating more sweets or oily foods and never skip my meals. I excercise only at home with 500 skips a day and some abdominal excercises and walk for half an hour. I think is enough because if you are regular in excercise nothing to worry to reduce weight. Just concentrate to avoid oily food and try to eat more fruits and salads and some food with proteins like different types of dals (rajma, soyabeans etc)you look slim and smart in a very short time. The only thing is you should take strong decision to do your excercise everyday without fail.

The key to lost weight is the power to control eats and drinks. Also having exercise. If you want faster result, using some catalyst. I men here some suplement. I've been working hard to lose weight. I control my consumption of food and drinks. Drinks 8 glass of fresh water a day (minimum). Not have a night meal, Have dinner maximum at 6.30 p.m. Sometime dinner just some fruits. Fruit that have enough sugar to make energy for the rest of night. Then For breakfast is little of carbohydrate and my suplement meal (L-Men Lose Weight). It burns my fat. And the important is exercise. I use my bike to burn the fat. You know how much I lose my weight in 2 months? My weight before is 80kg and after that became 70kg.
I'm feel better with my weight now. :)

i stay away from diet pills or diet anything on the market. they are dangerous. walking is good for as much as you can do on a fairly regular basis.. at night, i eat those 100 calorie cakes or have a piece of fruit with it. i try to curb my calories at night as this is the hardest time for me not to eat. the best to you. i know it is hard but don't give up

Thank you very much , I need all the encouragement I can get right now. Tried to work out on the stair stepper tonight, but after 10 minutes I was bored with it. I need something that will be fun and not seem like exercising. Had thought about curves, but heard to many negative things about them and the way their program operates. If any one has done Curves I would love to hear what you have to say.

walking or jogging will be a big help. with your tummy, belly dancing is a great alternative. aero dancing can help as well. a simple stomach in chest out and holding it for a few seconds even help. go cheryltippe.

I do various things, I eat lots of fruit, I fast sometimes. I exercise, I do pretty much anything I can to keep my weight level down if not lose anymore weight. I find that it is good to switch it around every once in a while just so you don't get bored.

That is exactly what I need, something I won't get bored with. I have never been a person who has been still. Always had to be moving around. I left my job a year ago, and just started back to school. Seems like since I have been home my actvity level has just all but disappered. You know I always seemed to put on a few lbs during the winter but would always drop them off when the weather would start warming back up, but seems like this past summer they didn't go back off and a couple more came on with them.......My mother says it is age and gravity kicking in but I refuse to believe that.

I eat foods that have a lot of calories, but are low in fat, and I never gain weight plus I'm healthy. I would recommend that you watch the fat intake you have. Don't starve yourself this can cause problems for you the most common is that you'll always feel tired, and no need to worry about crunches to tighten up your stomach you need to do cardio 3 to 4 times a week. Drink a glass of water before you eat. Make sure you get enough protein and fiber.

We dont eat alot of fatty foods, we bake, or grill outside, whether permitting, and we have a Geprge Foreman we use on inside, that is why I think it is from lack of activity. I used to be a Childrens photographer so was comstantly bending, jumping out of the way. That was my exercise, even though it didnt seem like it was cause it was so fun, but now I have left that job to go back to school full time, and just am not as active anymore. Need to find some kind of exercise I can do at home and not be bored with. I am not a jumping jacks kind of girl, I like it to be fun.

I agree that skipping meals is a bad idea.........A doctor once told me that when you skip meals .......such as breakfast and lunch and then eat dinner, your body stores all that as fat calories...and youre less likely to burn them off. And if you burn them off you will just be hungry again and eat more .......He also said try not to eat past 7pm which I know is hard for alot of people including myself. With after school activities , we are lucky to have dinner on the table by 8.

Ohhh the fast food is not good for you at all , Even though youre not gaining weight from it, it is not good for your cholesterol, or blood pressure.
