I am not kidding our dog would rather you give him a balloon then any other toy he has. And believe me he has the toys. We can start to touch the drawer where we keep the balloons and he will be right there with his stubby tail just a wagging waiting. Now he will play with a balloon all day an never break it but when he does he steps back and barks at it. When cleaning out some stuff for my craft room I found the balloons and my husband thought it would be cute so he blew one up and Sam has been nuts about them ever since. What's your pets favorite toy? Do you take pictures of your pets like they are your kids? Life is so much better with our Sam I thank God for Sam! Do you have a pet? What kind is it?

Maggie and Sam both move between mine, my sisters and my brothers rooms during the night...so I might get woken up once or twice a night by either or both of them lol
Poor Goldie can't walk up the stairs anyone (since we changed from carpet to wood) and that's where all our rooms are. But we love our animals!!

Hi Lily. Does sound like you love your pets. Boy I bet you have a good moring waking up to all those animals. Sam comes to our bed early in the morning to wake us up. It is so special to wake up with him standing there looking like okay I got to go too. I bet you have all kinds of beautiful music waking up to your pets. The picture I added is in front of the Christmas tree he is waiting to see what one of us is doing.....LOL

My mom's dog absolutely loves empty drink bottles. She will go for those before any other toy. It used to worry me, because I was afraid she would eat the plastic bits, but we've had her for two years and she hasn't. She just chews them all up and makes a big mess! When one of us has an empty bottle, she will keep sneaking closer when she doesn't think we are looking until her nose is just touching the bottle. Then she will just lay there staring until you push it toward her, letting her know she can have it. It's pretty cute.
Right now, I don't have any pets. I just recently moved out of my mom's house and I seriously miss the dogs. My mom has two, and has always had at least two dogs in the house since before I was born. It's definitely strange to me; I miss having a dog around. I've been looking up local shelters on the internet, but I don't want to get a new puppy until we get a new place. We're looking at one right now that allows pets, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Hi Thunderll and welcome to my lot. That's Sam if he wants something he will go to it and put his nose up to it till we give it to him. He won't take it unless we give it to him. Hope you find the pet and home you want. When we have to go somewhere with out our Sam we both miss the him and can hardly wait to get back home. He is such a sweet and loving dog he is after all our only kid.

It's cool, your dog can actually play with the balloon and never break it! I still remember the first time my dog saw a balloon, she was barking at it, as she did not know what it is, until I held it, then only she stopped barking.
I have a yellow Labrador, and she is already 2 years old. Her favorite toy is a red ball which we bought it for her since she was very young. Though we also bought other toys for her, she always likes to play with this ball. More precisely, she actually likes to play with us. We always take pictures of her, but sometimes it's just so hard to take clear pictures of her, as she moves a lot, and also whenever she sees us coming near, she just wants to play with us, and I can't hold that camera with me well. I understand the beauty of having a pet with us, the pet is really a gift to us.

Hi Kaka. I think dogs are so cool. They do have their favorite things like us humans. Sam has a squeaky fish too and he will squeeze it till it squeaks. He brings his balls to us and when we won't stop and play with him he will bounce it on the floor and play all by himself. His favorite toys are the balloons then comes the fish. Sam likes his picture taken he will stop and pose for you to take his picture. This picture I will put up on here he has a small balloon in his mouth he picks it up and carries it around trying to get us to take it from him. He has been playing with this balloon for a few days now. When one breaks he stops and barks at it till one of us pick the broken balloon up off the floor. We taught him to be caureful when he was a young pup so if he isn't sure of something and starts to bark we go see instantly. He is pretty smart. They are great companions.

Hi long. Dogs do have a habbit of chewing. It is just nature for them to chew and play with anything that has our sents on them. I love the name. We got to be patient with our pets they don't know what is wrong or right unless we teach them. We get these great big chews at the dollar store and it takes Sam a few hours to chew this up. This is how we broke Sam of chewing on things. Thanks for sharing.

BE VERY CAREFUL!!! if the balloon pops adn your dog decides to eat it, it can cause serious medical issues..I would seriously find something more suitable to be honest with you..I have to dogs (and 4 cats) and its just not a chance i am willing to take ya know..

Thanks Raven but when he was a small dog we taught him to be concerened about stuff like that. When he breaks it he will stop and bark at it he knows it is a no no to chew stuff. And we watch him real careful after all he is the only child we have.

That's funny - your dog playing with a balloon like that and hardly ever bursting them! He must be so gentle with the balloon.
We have recently lost one of our dogs (a Lhasa Apso) and the only toy she ever played with (out of a basketful of toys) was a spikey yellow ball - she would go crazy asking us to throw it for her! Our other dog, a shih-tzu, loves a tiny little cloth ball - she takes it everywhere with her. When we go to bed she picks up that ball and takes it with her! She is obsessive with it!
We have always taken pictures of our pets like they are our kids - after all, they are part of the family too. I have posted a pic of our girls together; Penny is the cream one.

Hi Abbey. They are beautiful. Sorry you lost one I know it must have rally hurt to lose your baby dog. They are all babies even when they are full grown. I had all kinds of pictures of Sam when he was a tiny baby but computer crashed and I lost everyone of them. I was so mad. We take all kinds of pictures we did when Bear was alive too. Sam is our baby after all.
