The Scientology religion was created by a science fiction writer from what the episode says and people fellow this religion made by a science fiction writer? I think creator of Scientology goes by the last name of Hubbard. Anyway the show tells about the beliefs of Scientology which is funny especially the scenes of the aliens
when their explaining their beliefs. Is that how Scientology followers really believe? If so I'm surprised Scientology developed into such a following. This guy again from what I've heard is a science fiction writer and they follow his teachings. I sometimes think if Scientology followers really believe like what they said on South Park then the Creator of Scientology made up the believes as a joke to see how many people would come along and believe such absurdity.

elmiko oh no the idiot is thoroughly convinced of his weird and wild beliefs and how he has hoodwinked intelligent people into
following him is beyond me. Some really intelligent people got
into that stuff and some were actually brainwashed and their
parents had the devil of a time getting them out and away
this. From what I understand from some avid followers they do really believe this stuff. Also from some things I read they do not like people to leave their group and can get nasty over it. I would think people would know better than to swallow his crap like that without investigating him first.

Perfect response. Yes this is all exactly true. Scientology is quite a nasty thing. Im glad there was all that global protest towards Scientology. I wanted to do some myself but I kept putting it off. I dont know if they do it anymore or not but if they do I might still be interested.

You'll probably get alot of responses to this discussion, but I tend to agree with you. How can a religion be created from someone who was a science fiction writer? I don't see how people can believe it, it does sound absurd, they believe they're going on a spaceship to another planet, it does sound like a joke.

Don't take seriously anything South Park says about anything, it's satire.
However, Scientology was invented by L Ron Hubbard, it is widely thought to be a cult, the famous people get better treated in it, also. And there are a lot of websites out there debunking it and talking about treatment of ex-scientologists by the scientology movements. They are litigious, they shun people, and treat them badly.
