he is the all star in my heart , however, Iverson does not perform as a star guard as billups or other easten guard. how do you think of Inerson's being a all star player this year?

I totally agree with Allen. In my opinion, fans should not even be allowed to vote, and the players selected should be by coaches or a committee or even the other players. Fans only vote for the most popular players, and most of the upandcoming stars don't get the attention they deserve just because they didn't go to a big name school or they play for a bad team that not many people follow. It is a shame that AI got into the game. I will admit I was a huge fan until he left Denver, but that does't mean he should get into the all-star game just because of nostalgia. Fans deserve to see the current best of the best, not the has-beens.

That is the shocker when they announced the NBA All-star line-ups earlier this morning. I can't beleive when i heard Iverson's name, I think he only play 3 games this season. He should give that spot to the much deserving player like to Altanta Hawks Joe Johnson. We must admit that Iverson is one of the most popular NBA player today but its a matter of who is deserving on that spot. Maybe he could do the Vince Carter move when he gave way to Michael Jordan or he can act like he is injured so he could not play.

He hasn't played no where near all star caliber this season but because he is such a popular player, the fans will continue to vote him as a starter until he retires. He was a great player in his prime and could be an effective player off the bench at this stage of his career. But as Detroit and Memphis fans found out, he's not willing to do that.
