I think its very common to everybody that during mid-day especially between 2pm to 4pm, people start to feel sleepy. That every now and then, they are yawning. That when they start to yawn, their eyes feels that they want to fell asleep for a while. And they tend to take a nap at least to ease the feeling of being sleepy. But, though this is common to everybody, there are still some who does not want to take a nap. For the reason, they might get asleep longer hours. That they dont want to take the risk of having a nap especially if they are in an office. Since the tendency is to take a much longer sleep.
How about you, do take a nap duirng mid-day? And do you take a nap even you are in the office?

I have a job where I work from home now. I've been doing this for almost 3 months now and I usually take naps everyday lol. I get to work in my pajamas on the couch and watch TV. When there isnt much going on I usually sleep for hours. When i was working in the office I would take cat naps during my 15 minute breaks out in my car and sometimes would spend my lunch hour sleeping in my car. For some reason I have to take a nap during the day. I'm 33 and I think its just because I need to start taking some kind of vitamins because I am ALWAYS tired it seems. If I dont take a nap I usually go to bed pretty early.

Yes, I like to take a tap during mid-day, ususally after lunch. After a whole morning's work, it's natural to feel sleepy, and a little nap helps you to be refreshed for afternoon's work. But the tip is don't sleep too long, often 30 minutes is okay.

I do take naps in the afternoon. And I sleep in a lot. I'm a student and I usually turn in late because of all the assigned school work that is due the next day. However, even though I admit to doing this, it doesn't make it right. I've read that sleeping in on the weekends to make up for loss of sleep in the week doesn't help in the least. It supposedly tricks your body into thinking its well rested when in fact it takes a few days of straight 7-8 hour nights for it to recover. The brain cells supposedly regenerate from 10pm-3am. Breaking the cycle only slows reaction time.

I normaly don't take naps in the mid afternoon as i DON'T FEEL TO.The chances of sleeping in mid day is 1 out of 10 days which is when I am very badly sick then only as I don't have the habit and so I take out some thing to be done in that time instead of sleeping.

same for me also...sleeping in afternoon as on when you are young is not good for health..so i also think that young people should not sleep at afternoon unless and until they are ill.

When I was still in school and university, I normally take afternoon naps because I always feel sleepy after lunch. But now that I have just started working, that is no longer possible because I work from 9am till 5.30pm with 30 minutes lunch. Of course, I still do feel sleepy after lunch, but I just have to keep my eyes open somehow. But now that I am on holiday, I'm going back to napping.....it'll be only a matter of time when I can't do it anymore.....

I do took nap in the afternoon. I am an internet earner and most of my task is more available in midnight to dawn. So i spend most of my time at night. And my only time to sleep is in the afternoon because i am awake from 12 midnight to 12 in the afternoon.

I am studying in college. In working days my study schedule in college starts from 8 am to 4 pm. There is only one hour lunch break from 1 pm to 2 pm. I really feel very sleepy most of the times after lunch. So, sometimes i have nap for 20-30 minutes. Whenever i have such a nap , i feel very cool and active after getting up and then i am able to pay attention to the lectures in the class.
But whenever,i donot take a nap, i feel sleepy during lecture in the class. I have already been caught 3-4 times by teachers in the class for feeling sleepy.
But in holidays, after taking lunch i generally sleep for 1-2 hours.

I don't take naps all that often, only when I've done too much with far too little sleep over a course of a few weeks. For me, a nap can happen at any time during the day, between two and six pm. I've even been known to take naps at eight p.m.
When it comes to napping, unless I've slept for two or three hours, I don't feel like it was a nap, and I feel more tired than ever. I am also more tired if someone wakes me up.

If I stayed up late the night before working then I will take a nap, but if I did not stay up late the night before, I will stay awake the next day with no problems.

I definitely get tired around that time of day. . .but, I would definitely not
take a nap at the office! Do people really do that? LOL.
I don't even like to take naps during the day on my day off. I find if I
take a nap I can't get motivated again. The whole "power-nap" thing doesn't work for me.

In an ideal world i would love to be able to go to sleep during midday. but unfortunately my body it seems no matter how tired if the sun is still out and shining it is very very difficult for me to fall asleep or take a nap. it might just be because my body is used to that I only go to sleep when it gets dark. the only time i've taken a nap at the office is when the doctor had put me on some good pain medication and it made me drowsy and no matter what i did I could not keep myself up and i ended up dozing off for 15 mins at the desk luckily i wasn't caught dozing off but it wasn't my fault. i had a involuntary siesta lol
