I get inspired in life usually after I have been meditation and I go outside. Because of the mental training meditation provides, I feel more focused on everything that appears to me. It could be a beautiful view or building, but a lot of the time it could be a large tree reaching up into the sky. A tree that probably been alive for hundreds of years. If it could speak, I wonder what it would say. - Derek

Hi Derek_a,I must admit that i have never personally tried meditation,But its one of those things that i would love to do,I've just never got round to it.I'm sure it calms you down and makes you feel very relaxed and at one with the world,But I've always wondered if it has any impact on happiness? Can it actually make you feel good?

Meditation can help you to feel more relaxed and centered, but there is a lot more to doing it than just sitting down and closing your eyes. I have written an article on my website here if you would like to learn more - http://ayrehypnotherapy.com/whymeditate - Derek

Although I love the changing colors of the autumn trees and the glorious sunsets I can see on my way home, my inspiration is my cats. My book of poetry Cat-House Sonnets, 100 poems celebrating cats, is all about them. The book won the Muse Medallion from Cat Writers Association and is available at Amazon.

Almost everything in life is wonderful and beautiful, though there are still some imperfections. But for me, the most beautiful thing in life is the life itself. Having the chance to see all of God's creations, meeting friends, and having our family and loved ones around us. These are the things that make a lot of people happy and inspired.

Hi joniebee.
First of all, Christ. Also, a life changed by Christ. Objects? Much of His creation such as but not limited to the ocean, sky, rivers, lakes, mountains, forests, flowers, spring, rainbows, the stars and planets, crystals, certain stones.
