Do you wash your underclothing by hand or put it in the Washing machine?

underwear should be hand-washed.some undies have thin fabric,especially those undies that do not show pantylines under fitted pants.undies should also be air dried.putting them on a dryer can cause the fabric to be torn or bunched up.I love underwear and I love taking care of them so I can use them for quite sometime.

I have been washing my undergarments by my hand for last 14 years. I never use washing machine for that. However, i use washing machine to wash my clothes,towels and bedsheets. But use my hands to wash my underclothings. Atfirst, i soak them with the help of detergent powder and after 45 minutes wash them with my hands. I believe that by washing by hands can take out all the dirts and dusts. Then i again soak them in antiseptic and germicidal solution to kill the germs. It is really a self-satisfaction to wash the underclothings by hands.

With regard to my underclothing, i am more prefer to wash it by hand than using a washing machine. I believe that i can clean it more manually than the machine. And i have a habit of washing it right away after i took my bath.

hi mercuryman^^;; as u said they should be changed atleast once and best twice a day and i do like your last statement. i do wash them everytime i take a shower in the morning and evening and hang once i got off from the bathroom. i had this habit since young which my mother taught. i think it's unsanitary to leave the undergarments and wait to accumulate several pieces before being washed because bacteria will also grow when left dumped.

I always put my underwear in the washing machine- I'm too lazy to wash anything by hand, lol. w

ha ha, nice thought! i have already found lots of discussions in mylot that have already crossed my mind but never this one. lol.. any way, back to the topic, i wash it by hand first before putting it on the washing machine. which makes it both, keke.. thinking about supply of undergarments, well, you must have lots of them. when your not confident that you have enough, i suggest you stack some disposable undergarments. I do my laundry personally once a week, because i don't want my stuff mixed with others in the laundry shop, it's so unhygienic, well, this is just me. about undergarments, i use them only five times, after that, it's for disposal. i buy a dozen every month so no worries about the assurance if i have nothing to wear.

hi my undergarments are washed in washing machine ~ 1 cycle of undergarments with special detergents n few drops of "dettol" gets me clean undergarments cheers

no, i washed them hand washed. because im taking care of my undies a lot. LOL because if ill washed them thru washing machine they got loosen and stretched.

There are some of my delicates that I wash by hand. It not only cleans them better but it can prolong the life of them. Washing machines can tear your stuff up too.

Hello.:-) I am not a fan of washing machine.... Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of doing laundry, either. So, it means that all my clothes and my daughter's, too are done hand washed. My partner often suggests that we should take our laundry to the laundry shop but I am not contented by the way our clothes were washed. Yup, they surely smell fresh( with the use of fabric conditioner which is too overpowering) but, they don't look clean for there are still traces of stains left on the fabric. I am personally doing our laundry ,undergarments or not, so I can make sure it is thoroughly clean and stain free.:-)

I always use the washing machine for practically everything. It seems that nearly all clothing nowadays is machine washable, so I just bung it in there unless it states otherwise. My under-garments are no different

I change them everydays and I always wash them in the washing machine. They end up looking pretty clean in my opinion, so I think that the washing machine is a good option

For underwear, I usually wash by hand. less clean if you use by washing machine. Especially for under wear, in certain parts could not be achieved by the washing machine. But I do it by washing machine first and then washed by my hand.

I don't have any washing machine.Simply I have to use the hand.So there is no other option for me as I am living in a hostel.Anyway here I have many friends who don't wash their garments for weeks and wear them for weeks.Don't be like that

I always use washing machine for my under clothing. I usually soak it overnight so that it will be soft and the sweat debris will be removed easily.

My wife does it by hand. She see to it that all undergarments were segregated to be hand wash. The main reason is that washing machine makes its garters loosen.

I never put it in wash machine and am used to do it by hands, well, its just a habit and I believe it will keep underwear clean enough by my own hands.

I prefer washing it by hands to make sure I washed the dirt. But when I feel lazy I just put it in the washing machine and put it on gentle mode.

As I live in a dorm, I've started handwashing to save money and I've found that with undergarments, I really prefer it. If you just wash them at the end of every day it doesn't take very long, and it means you'll always have clean underwear!
