We are planning to go on a vacation this coming vacation (March-May) and I really would love to visit Japan and Korea but my mom told me that we could only go to one country so I have to choose between them. Where would you suggest me to go and why?

I will say Japan. Japan is a beautiful country and you can do so many things there. Go tour around Tokyo, Visit Mount Fuji, Eat ramen and sushi, Sightseeing around Kyoto, Take the bullet train around Japan (shinkansen) and many more. Japanese culture is also rich. For example the traditional clothing Kimono is really nice and maybe you got a chance to try it. Kabuki dance is also good to see. Not to mention Japan's technology. Many big companies in the world like Toshiba, Sony and many car brands are from Japan. You will not regret it when you come and visit Japan.

Korea is a fun place to go, if you want to go clubbing or to the beaches. They have some pretty good amusement parks there up around seoul and they have nice beaches down south past teagu. In march-may japan is hot. So be ready for that and just go visit around japan. There are a lot of places in japan to go visit.

If would go for Japan. I have seen pictures of some famous people who visited Japan and its really a sight to behold. You can also experience their old traditions and it has an artistic design of scenery.

Spring, the months you mentioned you intended to visit Japan or Korea, is a good season to visit any or both of the two countries. The weather is perfect -- not to cold, but not hot either -- and you get a lot of whiff from fresh and naturally-scented air. I am lucky to have experienced both and I would suggest you visit both. However, if you only intend to visit one, you can opt for Japan, where you can experience what many, who have been there, say as the best spring in the world. Spring brings back life in the streets in Japan. Flowers begin to bloom everywhere and you can experience the thawing of the snow, when you go there early March. If you have time to read travel books and other information about Japan, you will know what I mean. But going to Japan, be prepared for one of the most expensive countries to travel to and tour. I tell, however, it will be worth every single penny you will spend.

I live in Japan.I would say what kind of travelling are you into. Japan is a nice place but everything here is a burning hole in pocket. The scenery are very awesome and the food are ridiculously delicious ( and sometimes expensive). But if money is not the problem, Japan is the best place ever. The most convinient place in the world. Im all for Japan.

Spring in Japan would be really special I think. I suggest that you might have a wonderful time in Japan. It would be the time of the year for spring flowers and bloom. I know that Kyoto is an attractive city with some lovely historical sights. I hope that where ever you choose to go you will have ab excellent time.

shuyin101, I am going to recommend Korea to you and believe me at your age, I believe you will find a lot of attractions that will knock you out. I am sure you are a keen shopper and you can be assured of the wide range of brands of sporting goods to designer handbags. There are also many wonderful attractions for all ages and not forgetting there will be a fair share of thrills too. Check out more details with your local Korea tourist bureau and I am sure you will find more interesting details to make up your mind. Besides, it is also value for money at this time, which I am sure will be with your parents' minds.

Gee, that's quite a hard decision to make since both countries are nice. But as for me, i would love to go to korea because i admire their pop music and the fashion sense of koreans. korea has lots of great tourist spots which i dream of visiting one day. =)
