Hey Mylotters, it's just about that time to do taxes again. Are you expecting a refund? if so what are you plans for it this year? I want to get a new bedroom set and a new washing machine. I also need to put some money into my savings account. So what are you doing with your tax refund this year?

I'm definitely going to put my tax refund towards some bills and some into savings I mean I have to be very smart with what i do with it because the temptation will be there to splurge on whatever I want once i get it but i must take a step back and realize that this comes just once a year and what better way to start off the new year than making sure you don't have to be worrying so much about upcoming bills or needs.

Well I'm planning on doing two things with my refund if it's large enough to do so. One I want to get a new laptop as this one will probably end up dying soon if I'm not careful. Secondly, I want to take what is left of my refund and apply it towards paying off my student loans. I want to pay them off as soon as possible. I don't want them lingering over my head any longer than they have to so I'm going to put as much money towards paying them off as I possibly can.

I usually just save all of it, but this year, I'm living far away from my boyfriend and will be using the refund to go visit him!

Well I'm a little late to the discussion but it's still tax time so I guess not to late! I received my refund and bought new tires for my explorer which were really expensive. Had my lawn mower fixed which cost a little more then expected. Then spent some on various things. My mother in law was in town that week so it worked out that I had the extra money for dinners out and some shopping. I didn't get to strech that refund quite as much as I wanted to but at least I got the big things I needed!

My husband and I are going to save our refunds for something we may need later. Of course we need a new stove NOW, and it would be nice to have the money so we could get it, but we're going to put aside $300 this month, and $300 next month, and get one on March 1st, and then when our refunds come in we'll save them.

Well, I'd spend a little but I will also save some too; But one thing I would like to do since this is going on and I feel that I should do it is give to the relief efforts of Haiti; I could sit and say well I work for it blah blah; The folks in Haiti don't have much yet, they need our help and if I have it, I should give it cause I am their brother's keeper. I pray the rest here reading this would consider the same. Peace.

I haven't paid a penny in tax in two year Momma so I guess that I can't expect a refund. My last one paid a month's mortgage. Better than nothing I suppose.
