Wow, it has been about an hour since I got home. I checked my facebook and then mylot. I have been here an hour and I haven't yet thought of taking my coat off. It is cold in my room and I still haven't put on my space heater.
When I get on the internet I find it very easy to zone out. I am unaware of my surroundings and time. Sometimes I don't even realize that I am hungry and that I should get something to eat.
Does anybody out there ever zone out as I have? What were you doing at the time? Does this ever become a problem for you?

I can sort of zone out first thing in the morning when I get up and walk to my office in the spare room to switch on the pc. If I wait there till it starts up and get the email running I can get caught up with doing things that I can literally be there for an hour or two before I realise I haven't washed, got dressed or even had my morning cuppa. It can be really bad doing that as you can so easily get into the routine of not starting your day properly and then end up never getting dressed or anything.

I wouldn't really call it a problem. That happens a lot to me when I'm playing games. I usually play them for a few hours until I realize that I'm kinda hungry.. heh..
As for the internet. Well, no not really. The time does seem to go by fast if your on the internet and you have something to do but I can't really say that I would have used the internet for such a long time in one sitting like I have with games..

Zoning out or in the zone? I do the same thing at times, my brain gets so focused on what I am doing that I forget about time. I actually find it relaxing to zone out from time to time. Daily life has so many stresses that to forget about them for awhile and do the social network thing or play a game is good for us. At least I think so since it relaxes me.
And I have been at the pc and suddenly realized that I am super hungry so time to walk away! But I wouldn't be sitting in a cold room for long without doing something about it, I hate to be cold!
It's never been a problem for me so I guess that's a good thing too!
