Have You Ever Had An Angel Encounter?

I mean the real thing. A Messenger sent from God? We all have people in our lives we consider "angels," but I'm talking about the Lord sending one of His own to you.
Like when my friend thought God had forgotten him. Life was just too hard and probably not worth living. He was standing in front of his work waiting for his boss to open up the store. A man was hosing down the sidewalk and started talking to him. My friend started telling the man all about his life. They had a long conversation which to him must have been an hour or so. It couldn't have been more than five minutes, however, because he knows the time his boss opened the store. The last thing the man told my friend was simply, "God has not forgotten you." This, for some reason, was exactly what my friend needed to hear. When he walked into the store he turned back to say thanks, but the man was gone . . . so was the hose and the sidewalk was totally dry.
Tell us your Angel stories.

Hello,
I can't be for sure whether I was confronted by an angel of God. It happen too quickly for me to grasp what had taken place last November while waiting at a bus stop near home. What I saw appear to me as an old man with a back pack coming towards the bus stop. It was a very cold day with snow still on the ground. He looked like he hadn't bathe for a while. At that time, my hearing was not very good, so I'm not sure of the question he had asked. To me it sounded like he was asking me where a certain church was,or something like that. And he was puzzled at my answer that I gave him. Well anyway, the bus came and I thought he was going to get on. but when I sat down near the front of the bus, I look outside and along the bus route, he was nowhere along the road. That's when I got to thinking whether I had seen an angel. Because I believe that angels of God are the only ones that can appear for a moment and disappear so quickly. And I felt bad that I couldn't hear well enough to respond as I should.
Recently, I had listened to one of Perry Stone's message on Youtube. He had made a statement that other people had asked him if he had seen an angel, and he said he had seen an angel. But he also said that angels can be quite scary because of their appearance. Perry Stone said also that God didn't want people to have a heart attack by seeing one. So that is why God started to come to people in visions and dreams. So according to Perry Stone after seeing an angel he would not want to see one again. In that case, I think I would rather have God to speak to me through visions and dreams, unless, God would think that it would get my attention a little bit better by an angel appearing to me. I hope this helps.
Thanks for your question. God bless.

I wonder why he was puzzled. And I agree that we probably haven't seen an Angel in its true form. I think an Angel is without sin, which more than likely is too much awe for us to see.

I believe he was puzzled because I couldn't respond to his question very well.Maybe he thought I should of known where a certain churh was located. Unfortunately, I didn't tell him that I have not been here long enough to know,if that was his actual question. As I said, my hearing was not very good that day and didn't ask him to repeat his question.
And yes angels of God are without sin and God sometimes sends us angels for his purpose. Thanks for your response.

Greetings gtargirl.
That was a wonderful account!
For me, one time was when I was four years old. I was looking out the window in the direction of the shed. But then, slightly to the left and a little closer I saw two people, somewhat smiling. I smiled back and started to keep looking at them. Then they disappeared. I cried when that happened. Back then, I did not know what they were, but now I do.
This next one I did not see anything but felt something. One late afternoon in Bible institute I had dozed off in my room though I had to be somewhere. No one else was around in my room, but I awoke in time thanks to a slight shock to my nose. Or maybe the angel did not want me to snore?

I wonder if babies and children have lots of Angel encounters. Have you ever just watched a baby when he or she is content and seems to be watching beyond you? Just a thought. That's a wonderful memory PastorP. It's like two Angels were just watching over you.

I think babies and young children do, and sometimes have conversations with them.
Animals do too (Balaam's Donkey -- had to change it from the KJV word because mylot would not accept it!). We live on the Eastern Shore of MD. A few days before 9-11-01, our dog, when roaming in the bathroom, would stare upward out the window which faces north. Yes, there's a house next door, but I looked and saw no birds or squirrels on that roof to get her attention.

I've been in situations where I know it was divine intervention. I was with some friends one night and we were not consuming some savory things into our bodies. We were heading down a road and we weren't paying attention. We almost hit the car in front of us but I know we would have because of how close we stopped before we saw it. I'm sure an angle moved that car because if we had hit it we would have been questioned by the police and everything would have been found by a search. I would have been given a record and who knows how things could have turned out.

And . . . you and your friends having to live with yourselves if anyone was badly injured. I wonder if there are Angels who watch over our roads. I know that might sound a little trivial but on many occasion I've driven home and wonder how I got there--safely.

I wonder if our spirit reacts to God's nudging even when our physical being doesn't. It's perhaps why we stop at a green light. You know what I mean?

I remember in the 6th grade, they were building a freeway a little ways from my house, and I would cut through there to save time at the place were the trucks- vehicles were digging. for weeks I would cross through a ravine/trench that the trucks, bulldozers used to get through; finally my luck ran out. instead of climbing out of the trench easily, I suddenly couldn't get out! I was stuck! and then came a huge truck barelling down on me. I panicked, and as the truck which was about to crush me approached, I yelled God help me! at that moment I felt invisible hands give me a boost over the ravine/trench wall. had I not asked for Gods help in that situation I would have been flattened!

I was seventeen and in horrible relationship with a man that to say the least was not nice to me. On that particular day he was mad because i didn't fold the laundry the way he wanted lol. I was very far from home, no way to contact anyone for help and he had taken my car keys so i had no means of leaving. After a few hours of really bad incidents i started walking down the highway towards a town where i could call for a rescue, it was around a twenty mile escapade. Of coarse i was crying while i walked and praying silently. I came across an abondoned house as i was asking god to be with me and help me be strong, a dog came running out and greeted me, he nuzzled my leg and walked with me the entire way! I believe god sent that dog whether it be an angel or just a dog it was heaven sent when i got to where i was going the dog simply vanished. I look back on that day a lot, it keeps my faith strong!

Oh, I can see that dog coming to comfort you. I can feel the relief you must have felt. I know God uses our four-legged friends sometimes. Many blessings to you Lily. I hope life has led you far away from that horrible relationship.

I don't remember any experience like that. But I know that God is always sending me an angel to help me. When I am lost and don't know what to do, I ask the help of God to guide me. I needed money for our house before and I was panicking because I was in debt. I don't know how can I get money in an instant. I ask God to guide me, I just prayed and prayed so deeply. After a couple of hours I woke up with this text message. A friend send me a message about a part time job she know, and she was inviting me to go with her that day. Without even thinking twice I stand up and fixed myself and went to that part time job together with her. I got the part time job and I able to save money from it. I was happy. My angel was my friend who texted me. God works on her, he used her to help me. God knows what is best for an individual that is why some prayer have not been answered.

He is interested in every detail of our lives. And it's true, sometimes His answer to prayer is a no, which is not a bad thing. I tell my kids no sometimes for their own benefit. But I guess some people think God is not answering their prayers.

Hello my friend gtargirl Ji,
I fully undersatnd these things, God sends them without our pre-knowledge. Only those who have blind faith and belief in God experience such things. Many times it has happened in my life. The latest being on 27 April, when my elder son was knocked down on his bike between two running buses, and two angels got down from one of the buses and shifted my son to desired hospital, informed my DIL to rush and vanished from the hospital without disclosing their identity, till today, we are searching those two angels send by Almighty to recover my son from accident site. I bow my head to those angels and GOD.
May God bless You and have a great time.

I have an angel encounter only in my dream. I was walking down the path, it was quite dark, and I saw an angel (I thought it was only a statue) but when I approached him, I saw his face smiling at me and he's holding a book. That was way back then. Truly God sends His messengers to guide and guard His children.

hi gtargirl... your discussion is very interesting indeed... but sorry, i can't participate with any first hand experience, as i don't have any... i'm just curious, did your friend really see any angel? can't that be an illusion or may be a day dream? i mean, illusions and day dreams do take place and are supported by the science... how someone can be sure that was really an angel? obviously, believing depends on individual's belief...

Oh, I'm sure it could be an illusion, no matter how detailed the illusion is, or a day dream I'm sure. So, do illusions give you the exact answer you were praying for? How does one know it was really an angel???? My friend said, because when he was talking to this man he had never experienced that kind of peace with absolutely no sense of earthly time.

I think God uses these ordinary people that we meet randomly in our life. Like there is this problem that I have I know that I will fail my subject and that I am so down an tuition fee in college is so so expensive. Then this man while riding a train on my way to school asked me what's the date and it was november something (forgot it) but I know that it is about to get december in just a few days. He then told me something like it was amazing that December is coming and the year is about to end and even though the year was so stressful and a lot of calamities smashed our country, we're still alive and that's something to be thankful. I then cheered up and tried my best in the remaining quizzes and exams and I passed that subject and made it to the cutoff grade :D.
