When I was in my twenties and living in London (England) I looked forward to the weekends as a break from the drudgery of work. But I rarely went out on both friday and saturday nights. In fact a friend used to say that people pretended to be busy all weekend but in reality they all stayed in and London was closed! These days I frankly don't mind what I do, although I like to be home before midnight! Are you out all weekend every week? Or do you stay home?

When I was in my 20's I was a single parent, and weekends were when I let my hair down. Every friday and saturday night I would be out of the house by about 7.30 pm and would be out til the pub or club shut. I shudder now to think of it because I just do not know how I did it and on the odd occasion that I go out now I am ready for bed by about 10.00pm! I much prefer to stay at home these days, going out is not the same anymore.

I must admit that I rarely go out, be it weekdays or weekend. For one thing, I can't afford it, and for another, I'm really just a homebody.

As you well know, I love to go out. But. There are weekends after weekends that I'm home. I'm not nessarily sure how to measure my going out against my not going out. I mostly do not go out. But when I do, well, I do. Does this have anything to do with you originally asked?
Can I get a witness?
....and we're rollin', rollin', rollin' on the ri'i'verrrrrrr, do do do do, do do do do, etc...................

Hi p1ke,
I love being at home all snuggled up and on the computer..it is where my friends are-well I have more online than off- also depending if something is happening on a friday or over the weekend home is where you will find me. My days of pubbing and clubbing are well over now! lol

No am in..one of the reasons is my ankle is really sore and didn't want to put much pressure on it walking everywhere and the other reason finances and how much it would cost just to go our, it was more justifiable to stay in, am also tired so early to bed tonight ...hugs LoLo LoLo

Is it that Popstar to Operastar thing? I couldn't get into that. I don't have much patience with opera I'm afraid. Hope you manage to enjoy it though.

I always stay home. I've got no-one to go out with and, as I don't drink, nowhere to go. Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I think I'll go and eat worms.

oh am I your first wow, I hardly ever get to be first. oh here Pikey we are free to go out whenever we want but at my age and due to have a bad leg with a brace I do not go out on weekend nights unless I would be invited out to eat someplace which has not happened yet. So now I am a homebody not that I was ever much of a gadabout even when younger. but oh yes my hubby and I wou ld bundle up the kids and get in the pickup and go out for a drive on weekend nights just for fun, we never knew where we were going, and that was fun. sometimes he took us to the flower beds there in Phoenix and we bought armfuls of stock in all the various colors and they smelled so sweet. another time we paid twenty dollars at a farm house for a large box of fresh tomatoes and all sorts of fresh veggies, enough to find us all week. these were impromptu things and such fun, he was fun to be with any way. Once we went to a barn dance, once of all things to a negro church where they were all singing away, I mean they were so good they sounded like a group on television, they had such fun when they sang their hymns, swaying and stamping their feet, it was a new experience to me.

Hi p1key,
Gosh! when I was in my twenties, I hated going out, my ffiends used to drag me out at the week to go to pubs and club, when we used to go to the clubs, I always ended up looking after their handbags as they always used to get boys to dance with them and I didn't, I used to go up London and at one time I lived in central London in a digs, thats what they used to call then then, but when I went back home to mum, I just wanted to stay at home all the time and even now I hate going out, but I have a new interest now the "THE COMPUTER" Hugs.

Hiya p1kef1sh,
No I prefer to go out not to spend any money in particular just go out walk, in the Car just go somewhere. We cannot afford Holidays so we have been out on short trips to compensate a little. All the little things add up in the finish.
Life is too short to stay indoors I have lived through all that too.

Hiya p1kef1sh,
Yes I know there are some really beautiful parts of the Coast down South too in fact all over England you don´t have to spend much money if you don´t want to I know what you mean. Up North Scarborough is my favourite and my other favourites are in Wales even though these seaside towns have been let go into bad conditions a few of them nevertheless I love them and would give anything to go back for a Day to each one Tywyn, Rhyl, Phwhelli, I have probably spelled that one wrong but never mind those are the ones I like.

Dear friend! As a Muslim country, Friday is the officially and religiously accepted holiday in Bangladesh. So, most of the times on Friday, I like to stay at home and give some more time to my family members, taking care of them, doing my household chores. I usually go out for a walk in the afternoon. We pass time by going to the amusement park, river-bank, countryside, gossip with people etc.

Oh yes, I'm out Friday and Saturday nights without fail. Oh, and Thursdays too!
Not really. I quite like the idea of London being closed at the weekend though. It would do everyone good to have a rest!
When I was working in central London we used to go out quite a lot. Actually Thursday was the main drinking day at one place I worked. It meant that Friday mornings weren't much fun though! I don't go out much at all now. In the evenings I'm just grateful for a bit of a sit down, lol! Although I am going on a girl's night out tomorrow!!! It's the first time I've been out for quite a while, and the prospect is quite exciting, but a bit scary at the same time...
But normally weekends are filled with food shopping and seeing relatives.

When i was younger, me and my girl buddies used to go out on Friday nights drinking ans staying out till the wee hours of the morning. It was a lot of fun but as i matured i gradually stoppepd from going out on weekends. Now, i would rather prefer to stay home with my girls watching movies on dvd or on tv or just hanging out with them.I didn't hear them complain when i used to go our on weekends but now i know we both enjoy being with each other.

With the economy being what it is, I tend to stay home & amuse myself!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT that way!!! I can watch a rented movie every weekend for a month for LESS than I can go out to a movie for one weekend!!! I go out to eat maybe once a month & then remind myself how much FUN I'm having!!! (NO dishes to wash) I go out maybe one weekend a month but am MUCH choosier about what I do, when & where I do it too!!!

We typically do a mixture of staying at home and also going out and enjoying our time with our friends. We will normally eat out one night during the weekend so that I can have a break from cooking and sometimes we will go visit with some of our friends. However, there are other times that we just want to stay in the house and sleep in late and just not do anything except watch television and park in front of the computer.

Most of my weekends, i stay at home, rarely i go out, have a supper with friends, or watching a movie which is on show.
In fact, many of my friends like go shopping at weekend, but the shop or market is crowed, so i like stay at home. Even if i go out, i will go back home before midnight.
