What should I do if I hate my job?

I think it's time that you search a new job. You said that you "hate" this job so it make no sense that you oblige yourself to stick on it just because of the payment. To avoid the risk of losing job, if you quit, you can apply for the jobs you like before quitting. During this time, pls. be patient and try your best for your current job. After all, you are paid by your boss. It just depend on your attitude. Persue the job you like and at the same time, live everyday well for yourself. I wish you good luck!

I certainly would not quit my job. But I would start looking for something I like more. There is no reason that you should not apply to other places that have jobs listed while still working. The only thing you need to be careful of is if you are filling out applications and it ask may we contact your current/previous employers that you are prepared if they call your current job.
