What do you feel or think? who is better - a right handed or a left handed person - I do not have any opinion on this and I am asking you all out there, b'cos recently in my group of friends this topic came up - some felt that left handed people were more intelligent-some said they had more memory, or were more loving & caring etc etc- then I said if that is so does it mean that there are some people who are ambi-dextrous are the best compared to the two groups? I would like to hear from you guys on this. Thanks

neither is better. it's true that right-handed dominates in terms of number but that doesn't mean they are better or worse. i just came across someone mentioning that left-handed are better because it's unique to see them play the guitar! what sense does it make? nothing! like i said, right-handed people dominates that's why it looks unique, or whatever, when left-handed people play guitar. by the way, on what basis is the comparison been made...better in what sense? such kind of comparisons doesn't really make sense at all. in fact, it divides people's mind and creates difference among them.

and for ur information, i'm right-handed but i wanted both my sides(left and right) to be equally useful when i was a kid, and i was a pretty decent soccer player(i still am)! so i started practicing and pushing my left leg to be equally skillful as my right. in the process, over the years, my left leg got a little better than my right. so i was the most feared striker during my schooldays as i could use both my legs equally and could shoot from any position, any angle from around the goal area. so that shows both are equal! even my left hand is not far behind my right in several fields!

I have read that left handed people are more creative because the right side of their brain is dominant and that is where creativity lies but I've never seen evidence of this from personal observation. I don't believe that either right handed or left handed is "better". People are unique and no single trait can predict anything.

Im not so sure about left handed people being more creative, I am just thinking about tools, there are far more right handed guitars than left, right handed scissors, I mean Im not sure about what other tools there are out there but I can see that there is a more dominant righty over lefty when it comes to the consumer view.

Well you have a 50% chance of being correct! haha
I'm left handed to write and fire a rifle. I'm right handed to play cricket and golf. I play tennis and table tennis with both hands.
I am not brilliant at anything!

Hi, udayrao2. No one is better than the other. Each person, whether right or left handed is the same to me. I have heard that people that are left handed, have a way of analyzing things. They are able to figure things out that does not make sense to the person that is right handed. But, this could only be an opinion. I am right handed, and I am very caring, I wonder what that makes me??

I believe they are equal.
I am a right handed fellow but I do texting using my left hand. I believe that If I want to, I could use my left with ease. It just needs some practice.
The notion that left handed people are better came from the rarity of left handed people. In our society, if it is rare, it means that it is something unusual and must be of curiosity. Another notion is that using their left hand, the left side of left handed people's brain is stimulated. The stimulation taps certain faculties such as analytic capabilities and other unusual abilities.
Right handed people can do such things also. All of it just depend on ones training and orientation.

Its 100% No Difference! Right or Left. Of Course Many "Clever" Persons Could Not Agree With Me, But Is There Any Different When You Walking(e.g.) Which Leg Do You Put In Front First? Right or Left? Its Dumb.

I don't know really I had a classmates in elementary and college who are ambidextrous that's why they always assigned to write in the blackboard. They can write any hands when they are tired in left they can use the other hand. I'm also envy to them because I can't be like them. Left-handed people are artistic they are excel in arts and mathematics but I think it varies in different people.

Left hand fellows always have an advantage over right handed.Don't know the reason why.May be the left handed are very rare in the society so they have an edge over others.I think of ambidextrous people.Never saw them in my life time.Hope I find them.I think is left handers play games too well and also more intelligent.I am a left handed guy!!!!!!!

Hi udayrao
It doesnt make sense comparing left or right handed. Being one or another doesnt make you more intelligent or anything. Its just using another hand. I never had understand why people even do studies to determine who lives longer between both or something like that, i believe its just a stupid thing.

I've heard right handed people are good in math and analysis while left handed people are creative and designers. I think both are good in a certain way. An it's not proven yet anyway. What is important is each and everyone of us is unique and special in hi or her own way.

I think that being right handed, left handed, or being able to use both hands has nothing to do with intelligence. Being right or left handed is more or less useful depending on which country you live. For example, I'm right handed, but when I have to take notes in a book written from right to left I tend to find it uncomfortable.

Hi,
I heard that too that what hand you write with has something to do with the brain makeup and left handed people are right brain thinkers or something like that.. I think I heard that left handed people were more aristic and creative and I am left handed and I am artistic and creative so I don't know if there is any fact to all that or not.. I think both left and right handed people are equal just maybe better in certain areas..

I can't see how one could be thought of as better or worse than the other as being right or left handed surely has no bearing at all on a person's character. However, in my own experience I have found that left-handed people have a tendency to learn things a little bit faster simply because they are living in a right-handed world and thus have to do a lot of adapting and learn to do things in a different way. I don't mean to suggest that they are necessarily more intelligent than right-handed people in general - just that they perhaps are more used to thinking for themselves.

I don't think that their is some difference between left and right handlers.
Across the world there are only 20-30% people who are left handers.
So this is the difference between them, both right and left handers are equally established in every phase of life but proportion of right handers is going to be high because there number is more than the number of left handers.
But still you can try to figure out who is better by taking memory test between one of your left hander friend and right hander test to determine who is smarter and who is not.

I don't know if one is really better than the other. The world seems to be slighted more to right handed people than left handed ones. When you go to a school classroom you will probabbly find more right handed desks than left handed ones. When my mother was a child in school she was ledt handed. They forced her to switch to right hsnded.

Left or Right doesnt matter.Everyone have their own opinion it is just we have to listen to the different views of each person.Unless there is notproblem doing the routine or daily things it doesnt mater a lot being a Left handed or Right handed.

Th brain is divided into two parts:Lefts side brain and right side brain. The right handed persons make use of their left side of brain and left handed guy makes use of his right brain more.
Left side brain is responsible for intelligence(like arithmetic ability, logic, etc) and right side brain does creative work(art, paintings, imagine, etc)
So all the stuff is based on this simple principle!
