why do some employee are eager to stay on there position no matter what happen?

i do believe that few of the companies are implying these or even tolerate this because reasons, which i don't like because i do believe that staying too long in the position you have makes you selfish, i hope that to they should give there chance to other!
what can you say about the topic?

Hi Scooby, i agree with you and believe that many people do this, they become selfish and wont open for others growth as well as themselves. Well if they leave their place and allow others to handle, they both can find new ideas for the company. The new one might be more potential then the old one.
But companies cant think that way. they are not employee oriented. cheers
