Phobia - What is your greatest fear?

I am a certified "claustrophobic". I fear small close spaces. I find it hard to make pee pee on a very small closed toilets, like in airplane & buses or just anywhere. I feel that the doorknobs might go wrong anytime & I will be trapped inside for hours with no air to breathe. I know it's crazy, I don't mind someone seeing my "girlfriend" but I am not locking the door! I don't feel comfortable in a lift. While inside, I am thinking that the power will go off & I will be stranded inside for hour I am holding my breath and heart will be pumping hard! I can only relax my mind & feel relieved as soon as the door opens. How about you, what is your greatest fear?

My phobia would have to be feet.I know it may seem a bit silly, but it's true.I don't even know how this phobia of mines started, but I really am scared of feet.

Fear is not good for human beings. I am not feared of anyone or anything. We should only fear the ALMIGHTY.

I just get really unstable when there's a snake around, i do not consider it as a phobia because i think almost everyone is afraid of snakes...

I am definitely afraid of snakes. I'm not sure why, but I've been afraid of them ever since I can remember. I'm also scared of anything that resembles a snake, such as a worm or centipede..

Marshmallows and kittens... ...kidding, but I did know a guy who worked at my last building and he said he actually was deathly afraid of small animals like cute dogs and cats. Said that when he was 7 he was attacked by a small dog and threw it across the room, and almost killed it on accident in defense, so now whenever a tiny tea cup yips or snarls at him, he freaks out and doesn't know what to do 'cause he's scared of hurting it. Funny 'cause he's a big guy too.

Up to recently I did not think that I had any phobia's but I reckon that I may have developed a fear of flying. I think it is because of all the bad things that have happened in the past with planes crashing etc but every time I think of going on one I feel ill.

I have many fears. I fear accidents, like when I am taking any vehicle, I am always on the lookout for anything that might lead to accidents. I am not much into travelling as a result. I am also afraid of the dark. When there is power shortage, I'd go crazy!

Hi, I fear that one day I have to deal with losing someone I love. Especially If it's an immediate member of my family. When I was a little girl, I always think of it and it always makes me cry. I even wished not to grow old because me growing older and older means there is getting a greater chance of losing my parents and I just can't deal with it yet.

I have a small case of claustrophobia. It mainly hits me in elevators though. I also have a bit of a fear of large crowds. And I'm very much aquaphobic. If I'm submerged in water I will start to hyperventilate.

My main fear is people. I know, sounds ridiculous doesn't it? For a long time I thought there was something very wrong with me until I recently discovered what it was. Social Anxiety Disorder. Basically it's a fear of people, social interaction with strangers, being judged, being looked at etc.. For me it has hindered me in many respects, I have a huge lack of confidence, un-helped by bad relationships and experiences when younger. I find it extremely difficult to start conversations with new people, or even meet them. I can't be left in a bar, shop or cafe by myself as I cannot cope with being surrounded by strangers. There is no specific outcome I am afraid of if left in such a situation but I hate making eye contact with people I do not know. I can't really explain it but knowing I'm not the only person in the world who has it, and that it is more common than I ever thought has helped me talk about it more. I think we are all afraid of something, whether or not we choose to admit it. My more trivial fears include the likes of snakes, spiders and flying, as well as crossing foot bridges. It's really interesting to read people admitting their fears as so many try to hide them.

I have to admit that it is hard to pick just one of my many fears. I sometimes think that I fear everything. I fear water above my waste, bugs, snakes, cows, horses, heights, etc. However, I think my worst fear is fire. I am terrified of fire! I also think that fire would be the worst way to die. I think it is because it seems to be the most painful way to go. Also, I had an injury when I was kid due to fire and ever since then even being close to fire frightens me. I think, I hate hearing the pop of a camp fire the most, so I avoid being near camp fires. Of course, there is the fear that if I was set on fire and lived that I would be in agony for the rest of my life.

I used to have a really bad fear of heights. My head will start to really spin if I stand at the edge of a surface in a high place. Cured myself by standing in a high place for ten minutes everyday. Right now? I have a fear or cockroaches LOL

I'm terrified of lightning. People tell me it's irrational, but I can't see anything irrational about being scared of several thousands of volts of electricity randomly striking where it will during a storm.

My greatest fear is to find myself one day fearing something or someone. Right now, I don't have any fear at all. Except fear of bad health, accident and all fears that are normal for normal people.

I'm afraid of many goofy little things like bugs or walking down a dark halway, stuff like that. My biggest feat though is embarrassing myself in public. Or even around people I know really well. I'm getting less afraid of this every day though, I'm a lot better than I was a few years ago.

Strictly speaking, i have a lot of phobias. The greatest fear in my life is the face to face interview. I easily get nervous when there requires a face to face approach to my professor, senior collegues and the officials in a selection board. Inspite of having good knowledge, i get nervous in interviews and my mind gets blackout. Again i also stage phobia. I mean , i fear to stand on the stage to perform something like giving speech, singing a song. I am a good singer but i couldnot build the courage to stand on the stage infront of all and sing a song. I really feel very guilty. I really need a lot of self confidence. I don't know how to get it.
