Are you requested to use the same type size when sending a email at work?

We just got a absurd notice from our marketing dept that from today on, all of us must use the same font(Verdana)and type size (10pt)when sending emails,---I don't know why they give greenlight to the word color---which of cause arouses voices of controversy. Duf, an old collegue in his 70's, asked in reply: "I am not able to see this type size, should I leave this company?"I just hear that some employees are asked to wear uniforms in some companies, but I have never heared of that the type sizes are prescribed, at least it should not be so rigid.

No, I am not required by my marketing department, or any other department for that matter, to stick to a particular font and size when sending emails. I really don't understand the rationale behind it, and I also can't figure out why your marketing department has such a requirement. Is it just an exercise to weed out those who don't comply? Again, this makes no sense. Maybe you should just ask your HR about it.

Hi myzire, actually marketing dept is just carring out the rules. This rigid idea is from the owner of this company, who says we must set up a good image, I think he cares too much than he should do.
