I would say its Kevin Durant. I could see he was a really good player from the last 2 seasons. He wasn't recognized as much I don't think because he was on more of a losing team via the Thunder. I think more people are starting to take notice of Durant. His team is actually doing descent this year and may make the playoffs. There just a little out of the 8th spot right now. Hes currently averaging over 29 points a game.

I agree Kevin Durant has made that leap, this being only his fourth season after being picked second after Greg Oden. Durant has improved his game so much he is already among the leagues best scorers and can be now joined when talking about superstars kobe, lebron, wade and melo in terms of scoring and an overall all-around game in all statistical categories.
Speaking of the newest and latest though, i project Tyreke Evans could become and be considered a superstar after two or three more seasons in the league. Even as a rookie now with his size at the point guard position, him and Derrick Rose, they're like how Wade was in his rookie year or even better.
They have a great shot of becoming next generations superstars.
