When there is not much in the house, what's the most unusual meal you've made ? / myLot

If you've ever had very little money, and couldn't buy much, you were making do with ever you had, what is the most unusual meal, or combination you have had ? I think one of mine many years ago wood have been diced veal with sweet chill sauce and banana, on brown rice ! Actualy it tasted ok.

we tend to buy a lot of meat when its on sale so we always have something in the house but we have had pasta with turkey and gravey so i guess that was the oddest meal. it was actually really good.

that actually sounds like it would make sense. Because the pasta would sort of take the place of potatoes or rice.

I've had rice with pineapple bits and chopped tomatoes. It tasted pretty good. It's a good thing I am not a picky eater.
