Teaching is something which is a dream for some people and for some people it is a kind of job to acquire some money. Being honest I personally feel that while teaching you not only give knowledge to others but also you gain some knowledge from others. Sometimes teaching can be very painful experience specially in case of children where apart from teaching them you have to some their personal problems as well. While teaching you are supposed to speak throughout the day. Dear friends do you have such experience? If yes, how was your first day in class?

I have always considered becoming a teacher, as a career; its always interested me how one person could touch so many kids lives. I was lucky enough to have a lot of really good, smart and kind teacher while I grew up.
I don't personally know anyone who is a teacher now, though.

Hello olisaur? You are right about that! That's why we must be thankful to our teachers because they give us a very good guide in life. Well, if i were be given a chance to be a teacher? I guess i will accept it but only a part time teacher only because i do not want to focus my career on teaching.

Teaching is a creative and fun career and one must give and take. It is a lot of understanding.

I was a tutor for a high school student when I studied in the university. It was one of the common part time job for us at that time. As a tutor, it seemed it was easier than to be a full time teacher. Actually I was more like a friend for my student because I didn't like to be serious. I like this experience.

yes I did, when I was still at the university I tried to tutor 2 Koreans. I taught English conversation and grammar. At first it was really difficult because they know only a few english but then after a while we get to converse better. I think teaching is very interesting. I also want to try to teach kids.

You`re right, when you teach you`re not only giving your knowledge to other person, but you`re gaining knowledge yourself
I`ve worked teaching in different places, and depending on your pupils it can be enjoyable or a horrible experience.

after college, i teach short term computer courses. its really kinda hard when it comes to relationship with the students coz you really need to study their moods. but its true that when teaching, you learn twice. there were subjects that i basically knew when i was still a student and when it offered to me i learned the complex part of it. im sure you dont wanna get embarrased to some of those clever students just for not being unable to answer their questions. good topic sanjeevsingh

Depends on how you look at it.. Do you mean teaching like a real teacher at school or just teaching someone something new?
Anyway, I can't say that I would have tried to teach a class something at school but I have had times when I have to teach something to a friend or family member..
Its usually rather hard to teach my parents something new mainly because they seem to have problems to understand or to remember it.. Mainly when we are talking about computer things.. like burning a CD or scanning a picture..
Its actually easier to teach something to your friends mainly because they seem to be able to understand it faster.. Well, at last most of the time..
But than there are the times when you try to teach something new to a friend but they simply won't get it or won't be able to remember it.. which is a little bit annoying..
Anyway, I probably wouldn't want to be a teacher.. unless I could teach something that I'm interested in and that I like.. which actually reminds me of something funny...
Not too long ago (like a month ago) one of my friends asked me what I would be doing after school.. and after I had replied to the question he said that he thought that I might become a teacher simply because I usually help most of my classmates with their problems and all that.. heh.. :)

Yes I have lot of teaching experience and been a Vice-Principal too in the school I taught. My first day was really very exciting as I had to take class for the Lower-kindergarden kids, for a start. Yes a teachers' profession is very challenging as she has to handle a lot of problems besides teaching as the children spend most of their time with us than their parents at home. Yes you need to talk a lot while teaching and in the long run you get used to it.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education. and I could say it was a dream that turned out to be a nightmare.
When I had my internship in private and public schools, it was an agony for me day by day. We were asked to observe classes in the first week and then we were the ones handling the classes.
My first problem was the students' attitude. In public schools, they were too noisy for me to be heard. They were, I think 80 of them per class and the room was not enough for a class size like that.
Another factor was the lesson planning. This has never been an easy task for me. I'm always caught up with the motivation stage . I don't know what motivation to make every single day.
And here comes the making of assessments, checking of papers, waking up very early in the morning, etc. There a lot of multi-tasking.
I could say teaching needs commitment, dedication and passion for you to endure in this field. Unfortunately, I don't have those qualities.

Yes for some times i teach one boy. When i was college and he was in school. I try my best level to teach him somethings good. All student have there own style to study. The boy was not so intelligence. But i always try to make him very intelligence. I thought may be he will. But now he is the same condition. I didn't take any money from him.
Well according to my experience i saw maximum teacher teach the student only for money. But i believe that one teacher can change one child life make his/her life so brightly.
And i never wanna be teacher. I wanna be a doctor so now i am medical student.

i think the first day of teaching is frightening for everybody. it was for me - especially as i was pretty young and all my students were older (i taught english as a foreign language) but i ended up enjoying it very much. it can be a very rewarding job. i am studying for a career change now but my experience of teaching was a good one.

I'm currently doing a degree in teaching english as a second language... can't say i took this degree to do teaching mainly.. the plan was to take this degree then perhaps do a masters in journalism or something like that...
some ask me 'why not just teach?' because i guess i've studied the skills.. but i'd say i'm not exactly teacher material... teachers must be patient, understanding.. etc.. i'm not.. and also because i've never really had a teacher that made me want to be someone like her/him? ... not saying that all my teachers were bad.. (some of them were)... just never inspired to become a teacher i guess.
my teaching experience.. hmm.. well my assignments are a lot on teaching.. last semester i had to go to a school and do a research on students.. that was my first official class as a teacher.. (haven't done my practical yet) i'd say teaching was a fun experience.. especially with the younger students.. it was easy to inspire them, guide them.. it didn't seemed like work to me.. i was having fun. and based on the 'awww's when i left.. i guess they were having fun too. lol. after this event i've decided to try teaching first.. maybe become a teacher for a few years if it didn't work out then follow the original plan to become a journalist.

hi sanjeevsingh i am a teacher in profession but as of now i am not teaching. I got a better work rather than teaching. I decided not to teach on schools because it gives me so much pressure. Even when you are at home, you must still work like, checking assignments, making lesson plans, etc a and i really hate doing those things. But i have my teacher's license on my pocket. I have a plan to teach when my age is 40 so that i have enough experience to share. Teaching is a very enjoying job as I remember when I was a practice/ student teacher during my college. I just hate paper works...

As far as I am concerned, my major job is not a teacher .But actually , I am just a part time teacher who usually teach my students when I am free. Sure ,it is charging for moeny. I think I like the job . It can give me a lot of happiness.I can have a lot of fun.In my first class, I talk a lot to my students. I want them to know what should a student do . How can be a good students. Then I will give them the class. As me , I think a student first need to be a true man, then to be a student.I gain a lot from my teaching.

Well, I don't have any teaching experience. but know i think, that i would have been adopted a teacher proffession. teaching some is like your making future professionals, making some proffessional is like your giving breathe to the breathless. What do you say?.
